Loft22 Cakes

Holy cake tasting!!! First of all, this tiny little cake joint is in the cutest area with so much charm. In fact, our entire experience was charming. We had the extreme pleasure of meeting Mama Loft22 (the owner's mom) and her granddaughter. I had read online that cake tastings were only available if the wedding was 100 or more people. Ours is less than 1/2 that so, we went in and bought a slice of every cake available which meant we brought home SIX slices, pictured below. Hands down and unanimously, the White Amaretto AND the Strawberries and Champagne, were our faves. Not too sweet, icing isn't too heavy and the flavoring is oh so delicate. Those are wedding picks. If it was a birthday cake, we all leaned towards the Cookie Monster or, even better, the amazing Mint Chocolate Chip. The owner's mom was just the sweetest, friendliest woman. Very informative and clearly proud of her baby's success. We really enjoyed our home tasting and the experience at the store.

I went in all I knew was I wanted a cake, that couldn't be ordinary. Mama (the owners mom) told me to sit down and she took the time to look thru books, social media sites, to help me generate some ideas. But nothing I saw matched the I couldn't I had in mind, but couldn't translate into words. Then I showed "mama" my invitation, and she replied "email the invitation" and give her creative freedom and you won't be disappointed. I did and I wasn't! I walked in today to pick-up and mama told me to close my eyes, and y'all when I opened them I was like OMG...WOW it was perfect it was totally aligned with the color scheme and design of the invitation. The cake was delicious and had everyone smacking their lips and several asked for a larger piece! Even the restaurant staff was commenting on how beautiful the cake was. Oh, did I mention she got it done in less than a week. The level of customer service I received was excellent!! If you need a cake for a special event Loft 22 is place to go.

I picked up the strawberry cake last weekend for a surprise party, I couldn't run in to get it because I just had a pedicure (poorly timed). Her granddaughter was sweet enough to run it out to my car. The cake.... WAS...SO GOOD!!!!!!! It was the talk of the party. The buttercream wasn't heavy, the cake was super moist. Ms. Lofton is my new cake Grandma!!! Highly recommended!!!!

I ordered my absolutely delicious cake for my 50th bday online. The process was easy and the communication was as well. The staff is super friendly and funny. I didn't get her name, but she's helped me twice now. Thanks, for the service!My guest's couldn't wait to get their hands on a piece of my cake. I'm a cake-aholic so I'm always ready for cake!! I couldn't have been more pleased. Best birthday and best cake ever! Yummy

Oh my gosh! Add Loft22 Cakes to your list of places to try when you need to satisfy your sweet tooth. I couldn't decide what to get so I ordered one of everything that they were offering on this particular day. They had chocolate birthday, vanilla birthday, orange sherbet and strawberry margarita cupcakes. They also had a butterscotch banana pudding that is THE BOMB! It was perfection! I highly recommend them! They were so friendly and worth every penny! I was told by the owner that the orange sherbet is their best seller and it tastes just like a dreamsicle. Well...it does! Oh my gosh! I'm not even a dreamsicle type of girl, but it was definitely my favorite cupcake from my batch. Right now with COVID, they are only offering curbside so be sure to call and tell them what you want over the phone. They will take your order and payment over the phone and bring it out to your car. I didn't feel rushed on the phone at all. The owner took the time to tell me about every single menu item that was available (since it was my first time) and this was the main reason that I felt compelled to order everything :) Kindness goes a long way! The gentleman that brought out my order was so fun and energetic and even spoke to my kids in the car. I will definitely make this a regular stop for sweet treats!

This was a VERY disappointing experience. My sister needed a cake for a christening/ 1st birthday and provided the picture on the left along with an explanation of what we wanted. She asked that it not have any flowers or macrons and that the colors be ombré. Upon pick up there was no one to consult about the poor outcome of the cake and she was forced to take this home. As soon as the cake made it home the cross broke into pieces. This cake was needed for a very special event and the cake was supposed to be a wow factor. Compared to the cakes on the website this isn't 50% of the quality shown. When we contacted someone about it they said "what's the difference?". This is appalling.

I've gotten cake from here a few times and they were good. It wasn't anything custom just an average cake nothing special. The cake was fresh and everyone at the event seemed to like it. Picking up the cake was a breeze I saw other reviews complaining about the pick up process but I guess I came on a good day. I pulled up called and they brought out my cake and I was gone in less than 10 minutes. We have 2 preferred cake bakers but loft 22 is a good backup If they are too busy.

Tasty cakes!!! Is you were thinking of trying these treats... Yes do!!! Great butter cream frosting!!

So worth every penny! They are so nice and their cakes are amazing! We recommend them to anyone looking for anything related to cake/cupcakes etc...

The cake was dry lacked flavor and not very sweet. I feel cheated ! $8 for a slice . This isn't really a full slice.
