The room was just lovely and truly exceptional! The owners were so nice and the main house was so beautiful too! We stayed in the Beloved Cottage that was themed around the Song of Solomon. The bed was super comfortable and the pillows were heavenly! We absolutely loved the heart shaped tub and the jets felt so good on our backs. The ambiance of the room from all the little touches of the lighting, candles, and fireplace. They had a mini fridge with different sodas and water plus snacks and microwave popcorn to pop in the microwave that was in the room. They really thought of everything down to the Scentsy was warmer that made the room smell so good! It was very romantic and private room to stay in. They served us breakfast in our room which was so nice. Breakfast consisted of heart shaped pancakes, that could either be with blueberries, banana nut and or pumpkin. I had banana nut and it had a good amount of pecans. Scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and choice of juice with coffee. Honestly it was the best getaway we've had so far and I'd highly recommend it!Disliked · This was pretty close to the hwy so the noise from the road was pretty loud. They do provide a fan and the white noise drowned it out.

Absolutely wonderful weekend getaway with my husband! The owners/innkeepers are an older Christian couple who are a delight and took great care to spoil us during our stay! If you adore old houses, antiques, romance overload, luxury, historical buildings, fabulous sheets, room service and jacuzzis for two....then this is the place for you. If you enjoy fondue delivered to your room, candlelit tubs, rose petals on your bed and chocolate dipped berries...then plan your stay! If you like to nit pick every minute detail...then you probably want to stay at a cheap modern hotel. We would HIGHLY recommend this place to others and we look forward to our next stay!

What a romantic place to spend our wedding night. Their attention to detail and thoughtfulness clearly show the owners have been called to this profession. They were accommodating in a jam and very attentive. It's a hidden gem in Fort Worth and I absolutely loved it. We will be back for all our special occasions!

After posting so reviews on multiple sites is when they contacted us. We questioned her response by stating "Now to Address your response to my review. You stated, " Upon departure, guests were asked if they were satisfied with the suite and said they were." We were satisfied with what we had to settle for. There were no "mechanical issues" in the new suite. But that doesn't mean we were satisfied with the stay. We assumed when you asked if we were satisfied with the suite we were discussing the one you moved us to, not the one you moved us out of. You also state, "When asked the reason for its issuance, husband said he did not remember." That's a false statement. My husband immediately told you all that it was because the AC. In fact, that's when you made the comment about us not having to worry about the AC this time because we had just had the cold front." Her Response to us: "We also apologize that you felt uncomfortable when redeeming the gift certificate. While I don't remember the details of that situation, please believe that neither of us were thinking or feeling what you interpreted. My comment upon your checking out was in no way intended to offend you, and I sincerely apologize that it apparently did."i found it disturbing that she states she doesnt remember the details of our conversation but she posts on her and other reviews as she does. Nor has she taken the time to correct her rebuttle statements on any of the review sites after I corrected her.

We stayed at Lockheart Gables on January 27, 2017. This was our first visit with the new owners (they've been here almost five years now...) We stayed in the Beloved Suite and had a fabulous time! The room is very private and really large for a B&B. King size bed, gas fireplace, plenty of antique seating and tables, but still room for modern comforts like a flat screen TV with cable, a USB multi voltage charger (nice touch by the way), and a remote to start the fireplace. Bathroom has been remodeled to include the 2 person heart shaped tub, a large open shower (with overhead rain shower head!), microwave, small refrigerator, plenty of strategically placed candles, bath gels, comfy towels and bath robes.Breakfast was delivered to our room at the time we specified and it was really good. Omelettes were cooked just right. Homemade banana bread and fruit were perfect finishes. Highlight of the breakfast was our hosts special coffee blend that they blend and grind in house. I had double the amount of coffee that I normally drink!!Overall, this B&B is one of my favorites that I've ever been to and will definetely keep it in mind every time that we think "We need a quick B&B getaway!"

I've been coming to Lockheart for a few years, and a couple years ago they changed hands. What I miss the most is the iced gingerbread cookies with our initials! Silly, huh? :)I've never had a wedding here so I can't relate our experience to other reviewers. We are an LGBT couple and never had issues. The "cabana" doesn't have very good wireless, but the walk-in rain shower was bliss. The heart-shaped hot tubs are bliss. Breakfast brought to the room is pretty great, and it's always been hearty and tasty. If you can't do stairs, make sure you ask for a cabana or downstairs room or you could be in a tough spot upon arrival. It remains as one of our favorite B&Bs.

Spectacular :-) I had my wonderful wedding here last year. The owners are very nice. The place was beautiful. The room was beautiful. I wish I could've stayed there longer. My wedding was perfect. I'd totally recommend this place. The building has character and it has a vintage feel. I'd like to thank the owners for making my special day a memorable and magical one:-)

Supporting this venue is supporting discrimination and homophobia! My partner and I have been looking for wedding venues in the DFW area. We scheduled a tour at Lockheart Gables through TheKnot.com and drove two hours round trip from where we live to see the venue. We were in contact with Kelly from the venue and I emailed her my fiancés information before the tour. She obviously didn't look at the information I sent her beforehand to realize we are a same-sex couple. Instead, when we got there, we were escorted inside the doorway and then asked if it was a same-sex wedding. When I replied that it was, I was informed that the minister on staff "does not do that", and there is no option for renting the venue without said minister. There was nothing on the Knot page for this venue or on their website that said it had such strong religious affiliations and opinions on same-sex marriage. If we knew it did, we would not have scheduled a tour out of our respect for the views of some people of faith not to perform same-sex marriages. I left the venue in tears, without a tour, feeling extremely offended and devalued. Any wedding venue asking for thousands of dollars for booking should be up-front about their refusal to serve same-sex couples, and risk the loss of business that this stance might bring. For my fiancé and myself this experience was absolutely horrible. We have never before been made to feel so discriminated against. I would encourage same-sex couples to not schedule any tours with this venue. Also, heterosexual couples who have any gay relatives or friends that will be attending your wedding, or if you consider yourself an ally to the LGBT community in any way, I strongly suggest that you take this venue's stance into consideration when deciding where to spend your hard-earned money. A side note: Our venue coordinator at TheKnot.com was also shocked by this behavior, and she will be informing her director of this experience. TheKnot supports same-sex couples in their wedding planning, and I do not consider them to be at fault for this venue's actions.

They deserve every bit of these 5 stars! We pulled up and it had just started storming, the owner had came out and was about to offer us an umbrella but we were already really close to the front door so it wasn't needed. That's a big deal for me and I appreciate the kind gesture! This place is so romantic and cozy. We got a tour of the place before we got to our room. They had a prayer room, a tea room, a room with a piano in case you wanted to serenade your loved one. I loved every bit of it. The staff was awesome. We stayed in a beautiful room with a huge heart shaped tub! That was the main reason we came to this place was for the tub but it turned out to be better than I was expecting. They had complementary drinks (sodas & water) and snacks. Cable tv, even tho we didn't watch very much tv lol. A box with conversation cards so we could ask questions to each other and learn more about one another. Small candles around the tub and the breakfast table. Where we ate an awesome breakfast. I'd suddgest this place to anyone and I would definitely come back! Thank you for such an amazing experience.
