My friend and I ate here on Saturday while we were strolling around the Glen Rose Square for the chocolate festival. She had a Stromboli and really enjoyed it and I got a pizza which was delicious!I took the rest of the pizza home for my husband to try and he enjoyed it too!We moved here two years ago to Granbury from Albuquerque and have been looking for a pizza place close by and not have to go to Fort Worth or Dallas. This definitely is on our list now and much closer to drive.

Service was great, very friendly environment! We were attended to and the food was great! I ordered the Penne with Vodka sauce, it's already been a few days and I'm thinking about it again, it was really good!

Stumbled across this little local gem while passing through. The service was excellent and the food even better. The bread was very good as was my baked tortellini. I hope mytravels bring me this way again!

Wife and I didn't feel like eating "in town", so thought we would try something a little down the road. La Vita was it. My stromboli was pretty good. Thuy had the eggplant parmesan. The spaghetti with the parm was way over-cooked. Thuy's a bit fussy about having things al dente. Even with this, we would come back. I am eager to try the pizza. Service was very friendly. La Vita won't win any awards for ambiance, but the building's history as a Coca Cola bottling plants was interesting (see picture). Oh, and it's BYOB too! Bottom line: Finished the meal with a walk around town. There's more to explore and we will be back.

This was our first visit here, and I can't say that I had high expectations going in... but WOW! Nice menu and fantastic food! It's not a fancy place, but it's got a small town homey diner feel to it... I like that! Lisa, our server, was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave us excellent recommendations on what to order. We can't wait to go back and try some of their other offerings! They are BYOB, so bring your favorite vino, we stopped in at Bull Lion Ranch Winery just down the sidewalk and picked up a nice red... easy peasy! As it turns out, the space it occupies was once one of the oldest Coca-Cola bottling facilities, 1920-1974, pretty cool! Enjoy!

My husband and I, with our kids 7, 3 and 4 months, all absolutely enjoyed our time here. Food was fantastic! We devoured the bread. So fresh and warm. We ordered chicken parmesan, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, baked tortellini and cheese pizza. Service was excellent. Our server was very kind and timely. Ambiance was clean, and very cute. Lovely instrumental music playing throughout. If we visit GlenRose again, we will definitely return!

I hope that the owner sees this, so they can be made aware that the young girl working the front counter on 2/21/25 just lost your business a $100 order, as well as all future business from us. I want to start out by saying that I live locally, & have given La Vita my business many times in the past. Although it's a little more costly, we love their food & always try to support the "little guy". However, I'm very disappointed in the experience that we had tonight. I tried to call multiple times to place a to-go order & the phone went straight to voicemail. I confirmed online that they were open today & didn't close until 9pm, so figured there was simply something wrong with the phone. My family decided to drive up there (a 30min drive for us) to place a to-go order. We arrived at 8pm & were told by the young girl working the counter that they would not accept our order because they "close in an hour", & it would "take over an hour" to prepare our food- NOTE we had not even told her what we were wanting to order before she refused. As mentioned above, we've eaten La Vita many times in the past & always order the same thing (two pasta dishes, a large pizza, garlic bread, & a side salad). Not once has it taken 30min to prepare our order, much less "over an hour". I understand refusing if we would've tried to place an order 15-20min before closing, but getting turned away an hour before closing is just ridiculous, especially a to-go order on a Friday night. So if anybody is considering eating here just make sure you arrive multiple hours before they close. I would say try to call first & confirm that they'll actually accept your order, but as I mentioned- the phone doesn't work.

Id rate it even lower if I could. Horrible experience. The waitresses we're ok, and we're just doing their job. However, the food war awful. I initially tried to refuse the order. Their chicken picata was like some form of soup you'd see in a refugee camp. I've never seen chicken picata like this. My girlfriend had the vodka penne. It wasnt much better. Way too greasy. The manager refused to comp the order even though we couldn't eat it. Horrible experience

Great Italian food all day long. Best Chicano park in 30 counties. Bread is best I've had in a community restaurant.
