La Unica Meat Market

Being a new resident of Haltom City and craving mexican food, I decided to try this new place. Went on a Sunday morning to see what deli food was available to try. Bought Carnitas, Birria de Chivo, and Barbacoa. Images attached! So disappointed!!! Barbacoa is full of fat and greasiness!! Carnitas had a lot of fat tissue too. Birria de chivo was okay. The glass was not clear to have seen how the meat looked and I didn't think of asking to show me before placing my order, my mistake! Prices for half a lb or a lb of these meats totalled about 33$$!! I could have ordered a better meal somewhere else!! Pan dulces are $1.00!!!! I am used to paying less than that!!! Anyways, costly mistake for me!!! Will not be returning!!! Only give it two stars for the good tortillas they have by the deli window.

I love this place!! We go and get all our meat here... gurl who cashiers is very nice!
