Staff was very friendly during check-in. Unfortunately upon settling in my room a stepped in to a very wet spot of water on the carpet. It was at least 6 feet wide. The room had mildew smell. My son had a room on a different floor and had the same issue.The elevator had a strange smell as well. I also noticed a lot of light bulbs out in the hallway.I had a great night sleep. There is free breakfast as well.

Grossed out about this and then had a slip and fall with water on the entering with no wet floor sign! And they saw it all and all they did was give a free night stay! Horrible

The first room they gave me smelled like a chain smoker had lived in there for years. Went downstairs and asked for a new room... they said they didn't have any other rooms and that they could give me a spray - I replied I wasn't going to be able to sleep in there - then the manager took my key and went up to smell the room herself. She came back downstairs after about ten minutes (she had been multitasking/doing other things while I waited downstairs... cool.) - she told the employee to put me in a different room and to book the first one last (apparently I was right and the smoke wasn't going to go away with a lil spritz of spray, not that that was ever acknowledged) - so somehow they magically found another room even though they were fully booked and I could only have the smokey room?? Magic.So the next room - no smoke! So that was a definite positive!! There was a cat turd or something on the floor - I have cats, so not THAT big of a deal to me? But ... means they didn't clean the floors. The TV was unplugged for some reason which was a pain to figure out since hotels super-secure them nowadays so nefarious folks don't steal them - some of the lights were either busted, bulbs out, or maybe unplugged because they wouldn't turn on... alarm clock was busted - tried calling down to the front desk to set up a wake up call and they never answered (no automated system to do that either)The shower - OMG - horrendous. For one, the shower was originally a glass door shower, but the glass door must have broke or something because they took the glass door out, but left the metal frame and then used the frame as the shower curtain rod - which meant that you couldn't NOT make a GIGANTIC mess of water every morning - the shower curtain wouldn't slide back and forth - it didn't keep the water from splashing out - absolutely horrendous. To top it off, you get scalded anytime someone on the floor flushes a toilet.It's only a $10/15 Lyft to the stockyards, though!

Checked into room 132 & 134 on 4/6. As soon as we opened the door to room 132 we were hit in the face by an extremely pungent smell of cat urine. Immediately went up to the front desk to let them know how horrible it was, they informed me that they would go in and spray the room while we were gone. Came back several hours later & room still smelled awful. Front desk said they forgot so they came while we were there, along with the security guard, & as soon as I cracked the door they both expressed how horrible of a smell it was. They did spray, but the spray quickly disappeared & did not help the smell whatsoever. it was so bad that the guest were not able to sleep in that room & ended up having to sleep in our other room that we had rented. The hotel was booked so they could not move us to another room. Asked for a manager to call me...4 days later after leaving a message everyday she finally called, said she emailed but I looked thru everything everyday & no email. She informed me she did not know about the issue in detail, even though 4 employees knew exactly and had made detailed notes. Despite how unsanitary the room was only offered 50% refund because we did not check out of the room, but that was never an option given or I would've done that immediately since We ended up having to sleep in one room. Manager admitted she never even went to check the room herself. Health department will be contacted.

What an absolute dump! I'm shocked the reviews on this place aren't worse, but don't be deceived. This place is gross! Had bugs in the room, stains on the pillows and bedsheets, and climate control in the room works when it feels like it. Had to leave halfway through my stay and change hotels. Free breakfast is also inedible. Eggs bounce off the plate, potatoes are raw, and bagels are like rocks. I paid money to eat breakfast somewhere else. Wasn't even worth the very low price online. Do yourself a favor and pick a different hotel.

To whom it may concern :On Thursday, Feb 23, 2024, my husband and I checked in to La Quinta Inn and Suites. When I walked in, the 1st thing that came to mind was its excellent location. Upon entering our Room, we started unloading our stuff off the cart. The room was nice, separating the living room area from the bathroom area with a glass partition that separated the living room area from the bedroom. When I entered the bedroom to turn on the light, I didn't see the light switch, so I went to the window to pull back the curtains to get some natural sunlight. As I pulled back the curtain, I heard my husband yell get back, Kimm, there's a snake. I immediately ran out of the room, and he was behind me with all our belongings. It took us three trips to bring our stuff in, but one trip, grab our stuff, and get out.We went to the front desk, and I asked for a manager. The young man at the front desk said he wasn't there. I explained the issue and told him we would need a refund because we would not stay there. He got his manager on the phone, and he agreed to give me a refund. I did not get an apology, or an are you okay from the manager or the front desk employee? Nor did they send maintenance or anyone to check the room out and remove the snake. Did I mention our room was on the 3rd floor?Now, just think about it for a second: if I hadn't pulled the curtains back, we would have never noticed the snake, and we could have probably encountered him in the bed with us. Or it could have been a family with small children. This encounter could have ended in a disastrous situation. And for the hotel not to acknowledge this is very concerning and reveals their customer service is null.So my next question would be, are they properly cleaning these rooms? Why didn't the maid see this!!!! Do not stay at this hotel ...

Front desk gal messed up my reservation and charged my debit card twice. Check your bank account when you go there. Also the crowd there is rowdy on Saturday night knocking on doors and drunk and really loud. Plus somebody dented my truck and left. Never staying at a LaQuinta aga

DO NOT STAY HERE!We arrived to a nasty room with roaches crawling in it, & asked get a refund. The lady said they can't give refunds so she moved us to another room, which was also nasty and we found a bed bugs. Literally do not stay here

Booked a room for my parents 2/9-2/11 via Booking.com. Less than an hour after booking, I requested to cancel the reservation because my parents notified me of an emergency. I contacted the hotel directly multiple times but couldn't get through to anyone. Booking.com had no problem cancelling my reservation but needed approval by La Quinta first. La Quinta refused to refund me due to the no refund policy. I get it. A policy is a policy. Just keep in mind that when you have an immediate family emergency that is out of your control, this hotel won't do anything to help you resolve your issue. I can't even GIVE my reservation away as it's in my parents name. I would strongly encourage you to NOT book with this hotel.
