I tried something new today The Huaraches. It looked interesting and I tried one with Chorizo. It also has cheese, onions, and lettuce. It was on top of something similar to a Tortilla. It was very good!! I always enjoy great service and I enjoy their Salsa and Chips. They you a Verde and Roja Salsa. I enjoy mixing them and coming up that's different. One day I'll have to try their Enchiladas.

The caldo de pollo was delicious! It was exactly what I needed when I was sick. The tacos were good too.

From the outside, this place is super unassuming. For the years I have passed it, with the generic "Mexican Restaurant" sign lighting the sky, I have driven by imagining a place that sells individual tacos and has no place to sit. I WAS WRONGGGGGG.Friday, I finally decided to give it a try. It is a seat yourself place (though there is no sign directing you to do so). Inside, it is not much to look at. Between the mounted old box TV's, the fundraiser lollipops on the cashier stand and the stocks of canned sodas stacked under some old signange, you get the feeling that this place has some tenure. The place is actually a pretty large building. There is ample seating, and even tables for big families. The staff is a skeleton crew, but the place was pretty quiet. They offer canned sodas, homemade aqua frescas and horchata. They don't default to bringing you a water, but will if you ask.You get one basket of chips, and they bring out two squeeze bottles of salsas. A sign on the wall says "Extra Chips, $1." The red salsa really has a kick. I liked this. The green salsa is really mild, but has a complex, tasty flavor. I spent most of my time with the red one.The menu isn't complex, and is much more "Tex-Mex friendly" than one may believe from the aesthetics. If you order the enchiladas they ask if you would like red sauce of green sauce. The waitress said "The red and the green like those," and pointed at the salsa squeeze bottles. I enjoyed the red, so I said red. However, the script flipped. The green actually had more heat to it, and the red tasted of a heavy tomato base. Granted, the red was good for enchiladas, but it had a distinct tomato taste that was more akin to a pasta or pizza.I enioyed the meal. The rice and beans were on point, and the overall fulfilling food made up for the food being served on styrofoam plates. The waitress was kind and accommodating, and the location right off Cooper Street in the shopping center across from Rusty's made for a perfect dip in.I will certainly return, and I suggest that if you are considering it that you give it a try. Whether you are one that doesn't venture past Taco Bueno, or one of those that orders the wild looking menu item that is a fried fish with the head still on, you will likely find something satisfying.

Best tacos I have found in DFW to date. Coming from CA and Las Vegas I have been spoiled with real authentic Mexican food for so long not much hits the mark for me. This place was legit for the tacos de lengua. Highly recommend, my girl and I are going to try the menudo and tinga tomorrow!

Craving for nachos on my way home. I asked if everything could be packed separately so I would still have crispy chips. They did a wonderful job and my nachos were delicious!

Had to drop off car @ Safelite this morning, so instead of sitting around for 2-3 hours, walked south down Cooper about 15 minutes & had a DELIGHTFUL late breakfast/early lunch @ La Poblana's. What a happy find this little gem is! Hubby had 3 breakfast tacos (sausage, chorizo & a bacon all with cheese & eggs). So good! Especially the sausage. I opted for the 3 chicken enchiladas in Verde sauce. Wow! Fresh, good & great, friendly service. Reasonable prices. Definitely worth the walk down Cooper. Now gotta walk this meal off back to the Safelite place. In a bit, might need to try another dish...better to wait here!!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Y'all, the staff is soooo nice. The food is amazing - fresh and hot. Clean but not flashy interior. I've been coming here for a few years and finally got my hubby and kid there - they're now hooked, too! Please give this hole in the wall a chance - you'll be happy!
