I decided to visit a place I hadn't been before, plus I need caffeine, and I'm hungry. From the moment I walked up to the door, I felt I was entering a different country . Stepping into the cafe ejected me across the pond to france. French upbeat music, flower carts containing French jams and other goodies, and the fluffy pastries and desserts displayed under glass.I bought a latte and an almond croissant. The latte was ok...a lot of cream, not very strong. The almond croissant was beyond amazing. Fluffy, light, tasty, and magical. The owner came out and greeted people, made sure all were comfortable, and thanked all individually for coming in. In January they will start up a baking school, Monday through Friday, early morning and late evening. Wow. If I could bake like this, I'd never leave home.

New location, new name, but same great taste and still a warm inviting environment. I used to love telling everyone about Quixote and was anxiously waiting for them to open their new location. Now that they have I know they quality is still amazing! They have a good selection of French pastries but also offer a little shopping experience with various tea selections, candies, and even olive oils!Pictured is Lemon Tart, Peach Pistachio tart, Pear almond tart, Pistachio Eclair, Passion Fruit Eclair, Baba Au Rum, Parisian Flan, and a Sugary Croissant.Overall I'd recommend this bakery to everyone in the area! Not too sweet, not to tart, an excellent balance of flavors for any foodie to enjoy.

What was formerly known as Quioxte Bakery in North Richland Hills has/now relocated to the city of Hurst. It's known as L'Epicerie by Quixote. They may have switched locations, but their pastries are (chef's kiss) MUAH! Divine! The chocolate eclairs are irresistible. The bakery is owned and operated by a lovely married couple. The wife bakes all of the pastries, while the husband has a passion for coffee. Both share a love for all things French and the store carries specialty products from France.Their hours are a bit odd and are only open Friday and Saturday to the public. Hours can range anywhere from 9am-noon or 9am-3pm, so best to call ahead about hours of operation. They are open Mon-Thurs for catering purposes only. But again call ahead for large pickup orders or questions about delivery availability. Any other business, I would probably ignore because of such limited hours - but do NOT sleep on this place. Yes, it is totally worth it to go out of your way for a visit. Yes, it is totally worth it to schedule your entire day or weekend around for a visit. Yes, it is totally worth it to cancel plans for a visit.I 1,000 out of 10 am in love with their pastries, the owners, their story, and every attention to detail.

A big welcome back, new and improved! The shop is a great idea - all those artisan culinary curations from Espana and France - nice selections. And you now roast your own coffee!!!!! OMG. It's such a treat to explore your phenomenal patisseries.People: Please note, you may have to wait in a lil' line, they may have few choices in their refrigerated case by the time you get to the register....but rest assured, no matter what you choose it will likely be quite luscious, tart, creamy and made with love and care! I was afraid this place would be lost to this 'estupido' world pandemic - but alas!Anyhow, try the eclairs, try the tarts, and I will try the coffee when I am back again, oh you know I'll be back! (those aren't famous last words)

My favorite bakery is back and better than ever. Stopped by shortly after their reopening and not disappointed at all. Loved the coffee, the little shop selection and the friendly service. Have been back several times and never disappointed. If you love French pastry, you need to get to this place.

New location and a new name, and I am happy to find this place again. Their prior location was in a small house and before COVID my co-workers and I would visit frequently for a lunch sandwich and sweet. The owner is always super nice and helpful when making a selection from the menu. My boss and I visited for lunch last week and enjoyed the savory crepes. Mine was folded and filled with cheese before being topped off with ham and fresh salad. We were told the menu was about to change and sandwiches would be offered soon, so I will definitely return and check out the new selections. The present location is in a shopping center and not easy to see from the street. I was a bit surprised at their new location choice because it has never really seemed like a busy shopping center to me, although a lot of traffic passes by that intersection. I hope L'Epicerie by Quixote sticks around and their business builds. I also got a chocolate croissant to go. There weren't a lot of choices for pastries when we went last week, but the online photos show some great options and the prior location always had a lot of goodies, so it was probably just the time when I visited. I'll be returning soon and watching this business as it hopefully continues to grow.

I was so excited to see Quixote back. This new location is great. They still have the same delicious french baked goods as the old location. They have expanded the experience with their own coffee roasting as well as a carefully curated collection of food and cooking essentials from France and Spain. It's all great.
