Komodo Dallas

My 1st dine-in experience at Komodo on Valentine's Day was lovely. We set reservations a couple weeks in advance, day of we were running late and called to tell the hostess, she was a bit cold about it.. but as we arrived they were nice and we were still able to be seated after maybe 10 mins waiting.It's soo dim in here, perfect for a date night, and they had live renditions of popular songs I like. I loved the vibes! I was with 2 girl friends and we all enjoyed it aside from not being able to see too well lol. The food exceeded our expectations, everything was DELICIOUS! My personal favorite was the surf and turf rice and the lobster dynamite, my girlfriends loved the dumplings. They treated us to complimentary dessert for valentine's day, chocolate covered strawberries and macaroons that were soo good. We'll definitely be back again.

Ambiance and atmosphere = greatFood = overpriced for small portions / something just seemed off, not enough taste.For a special occasion, would recommend.

We had an amazing birthday dinner here. We shared many of the small plates and would recommend all of them. Our favorite being the steak tacos but also enjoyed the lobster dynamite, dumplings, and salmon. The Peking duck was great and the dessert was as well. Atmosphere was very fun and drinks were fun as well. Meal was pretty expensive but worth it to us. Shout out our server who looked like Anakin Skywalker and was dope

Oh, Komodo! Visited with friends for NYE for the early dinner seating and had a wonderful time! 6pm turned out to be the sweet spot and the service was nothing short of attentive. Started off with a round of cocktails, complimentary strawberry + tequila shots from the house, and a round of shareable entrees! The summer affair cocktail was an absolute HIT! Do not be deterred because of the Hennessy; the passion fruit truly rounds it out. My entree of choice was the redfish and wow...the presentation was very daunting but super easy to eat. The green and red sauces were the perfect compliments!Way to end 2024 and hoping to visit again 2025!

Overall: Komodo for brunch is 10/10!! Awesome option if you're looking for good food, live music, and nice decor. Management is friendly and personable. They were constantly checking on customers, cleaning tables, and staying busy. I was surprised by how many choices you receive just at the buffet alone! Not only do you have access to the buffet for brunch you also receive an entree! And these entrees are not small. From the Oxtail lo mein to the pastry bar, everything was really good. What I Got (not including the buffet): - Oxtail Lo Mein: This was yummy! Great option if you're very hungry. I wish there was a little more meat, but the meat was tender. - French Toast: This french toast is sweet but doesn't have that soft and chewy texture you're used to french toast having. The best way for me to describe it is maybe the way stiff, old bread soacks up syrup.

My GOD. I would come back to Dallas just to eat here again. The food and drinks were IMMACULATE.I started with the Lavender Haze cocktail, cause your girl is a swiftie and I couldn't resist. SOOO GOOD! I think I had about 3 of these!We ordered one item from each section of the menu with recommendations from our waiter and each item was delicious. The honey truffle salmon was probably my favorite!

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful establishment, from the light fixtures to the columns throughout the restaurant! I thoroughly enjoyed the food and drinks, minus the lobster dynamite. The lobster dynamite lacked the taste of lobster, it was overpowered by the cream cheese. I also think $30 for 4 pieces of sushi is absurd. Though I enjoyed my time here, I gave it 3 stars because with a reservation, we still waited an hour to be seated. I should not have had to wait if I had a set time for a reservation. There was nothing done and no accommodations.

Yesterday, my mom and I went on a date here, and we had the best time! Zane, our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. We trusted his selections, and everything was a 10/10! His excellent service was the cherry on top. Pierce, the general manager, was even attentive and amiable. The soft ambiance made our evening lovely.

The ambience and service were great. Our server gave a great explanation for everything on the menu included top favorites and his favorites. We got complimentary beef jerky from the chef and complimentary shots for my friend for her birthday. The spicy edamame wasn't spicy but more of a sweet and sour. The espresso martinis were phenomenal. The king crab lo mein was a good portion and tasty. You can't go wrong with any of the sushi. The steak tacos were very good just small. I would definitely come back for celebratory purposes. Valet is $15
