They have an amazing selection of fresh seafood. It's on the pricey side of GOOD sushi, but you get what you pay for. The manager is awesome and the staff is friendly - 5

I'm torn between 4 stars and 3 because it's really good food , with a little bit of a loud inside. The service is pretty good but have yet to see the same server twice . ( they may have turnover problems ) . But for great tasting exciting sushi on the far north side this is our goto. Large menu and good food makes for hard decisions.

I am woefully remiss in writing this review. We have been here several times. Food, service, price. This restaurant hits all three. I am especially impressed with the service. They are exceptionally attentive. I've come here with my entire family taking up an entire teppanyaki grill. Usually it's my wife and me.There's a phenomenal sushi place off 7th Street. Kobe gets their fish from the same purveyor. The board is updated with daily sushi specials I'd strongly recommend it. They can get very busy so we try to get there right at 5 pm when they open

I have a personal rule for anything that I'm upset with. If I sleep on it and am still upset the next day, my feelings are valid. This is one of those times. Let me preface this by saying I've worked in the service industry and am generally very forgiving to a lot. Disrespect, I am not. My husband and I visited this establishment on our weekly date night, June 25th. It was very busy for a Wednesday. We were sat first. 3 additional tables were seated after us, with the last table a 10 minute timeframe from us being seated first. No one came to get our drink order. The hostess actually brought us water after noticing us waiting for a while. The server for our section, I'm assuming, came to the table next to us (who was sat after us), to get their drink orders. Ok, no problem. He was quadruple sat. He then came back and got their entire food order. He then proceeded to a table across the section from us. Again, sat after us. repeated the process. Got their drink order, left, returned with their drinks and then took their food order. Surely, he's going to come to us, right? Wrong. Went to the 3rd table sat 10 minutes after us. At this point, we decided to leave, as we clearly weren't a priority to even get our drinks. Server 101 - if you are double/triple/quadruple sat, and you are unaware of which table arrived first, you ask the hostess. Serving not one, not two, but THREE tables before even speaking with the first table seated, is an absolute slap in the face and not something I could excuse any longer, so we left. We didn't have any drinks or food, no order had been placed, so we didn't owe them our time any further. Such a shame, as this restaurant, both as Oishii and Kobe, has been the backdrop for many date nights, birthdays and celebrations in our household.

If I could give this place 10 stars , I WOULD! From the host , to the server , to the chef , EVERYONE was friendly and accommodating! No wait what so ever for my drinks or food! We have never had such good service at a place! The place was very nice and had a beautiful design The food was fresh and delicious! We got some of our food to go & was asked if we wanted any of the sauces or drinks to go as well! NEVER been asked instead of always being the one to ask. 10/10 for Food & ServiceWe will definitely be back! So happy to find a new and delicious hibachi restaurant to our new home (Only got a video but hes a screenshot of the chef cooking the food!)

I liked the former establishment, Oiishii, that used to occupy this space but admittedly haven't been back in a while since discovering Mulan. I decided to check this restaurant out since we always like to add on new lunch spots to our rotations. I've been here twice now and my two experiences were drastically so different that I'm not sure I will be back. I was told that they are new owners and the interior has been revamped. The decor is brighter and more welcoming than before. Even the sushi bar has been updated which I always thought it needed to be. The hibachi tables are still there but you can't order from it if you're seated in the main dining room. Bummer, sometimes I don't need the show but want the food. More on that later. My first visit was awesome. They were not too busy so service was good. We were seated promptly and our food came out in a timely manner. They serve soup like Oiishii used to do which was always a pleasant start to the meal. I liked their rainbow naruto roll more than my favorite sushi spot so that was a major plus. The spicy garlic edamame is addicting. My friend enjoyed her food as well. Everything from service to the food was perfect. So I brought another friend the following week to try it out since I enjoyed the first visit so much. I had the most bizarre experience this time. The hostess sat us at the hibachi table instead of the main dining area even though we said we weren't there for the hibachi. More people were seated with us and I kept wondering why we were seated here. There were people that came in after us that got seated in the main dining area. So I'm sitting there eating my sushi appetizers (as my meal) while a full on hibachi show was going on for the other people. My friend didn't even get her chicken fried rice that she ordered. She got teriyaki chicken with fried rice instead. At that point, we were so uncomfortable that we agreed to quickly eat and get out of there. We both agreed that this place will not be added to our lunch rotation.

This is one of my new favorite places to eat! My husband just took me for my birthday dinner. The service is great, the food is amazing and the selection is really good too. It is on the expensive side and you should expect a wait on the weekend but it is worth it.

Went out for lunch with my father in law, we moved from the east coast so we weren't sure where to find good sushi but Kobe was nicely recommended and it did not disappoint! It can be hard to find since it is tucked into a strip. The food tasted fresh and delicious and it all came out at a timely manner which is always nice. The service was very good, it wasn't too busy so we got quick refills and quick empty plate pick ups. The inside was designed beautifully with the cultural elements that really brought the ambiance to life. With a full bar and soft drinks, Kobe Steakhouse and Seafood is definitely worth it. 10/10 on the list for sushi nights

The "show" was fun and the service was great but the food was just ok. The salad and soup were tasty so it may have just been our chef that particular night.
