Kings Liquor

In the eleven plus years I've lived here, yours truly stepped in here for the very first time. Since I don't drink, you may wonder what I was after. Cigars, that's what! (Didn't want to bicycle all the way to Spec's.) Thankfully, the store had a nice, well-stocked humidor. This is now my go-to place for cigars whenever I run out of pipe tobacco. The humidor was self-serve, while the check-out process was quick and painless. I'll definitely come here again in the future.

I recently had a wedding ceremony and was wanting a keg of a local brew from Rahr Brewery. The order specialist there was nice enough to obtain the keg in plenty of time for the event and it was delivered on time!Their selection is great and I would definitely shop with them again.

King's Liquor is a TCU institution. Conveniently located, great selection, and great prices. As for this girl above me complaining about the look of the building -- it's a liquor store, what do you expect? And you obviously don't know anything about beer if you don't think Texas has any good brands. King's carries Rahr, the best in Fort Worth, and that should be all anyone needs to know. Now go drink a wine cooler.

Being between work and home makes this my go-to liquor store. I could go out of the way for cheaper or broader selection, but I don't bother because they have all the essentials and the staff is just excellent. If I want to run in for a 12-pack because my non-aficionado friends are coming over, cool. If I want a special bottle of wine to share with my dad (who is quite the snob, honestly), they have that, too. I like to make custom cocktails and can always find the ingredients I need. I also sometimes want...something...I'm not sure what...and there is always someone willing to guide me in the right direction. I've never left the store unhappy--even when I was being indecisive, and worried about my dog in the car, and they invited her in to have a treat and look around with me. I'm telling you, this is the kind of place where our grandfathers loved to pick up their whiskey. I hope it never dies.

Kings is in a typical forlorn-looking Forth Worth building (wish I'd never been built, it seemed to be saying to itself, I'm so boxy and unattractive, and isn't it about time now for someone to tear me down?) and had in the main a dejected air. Not sure it's the store's fault, but Texas seems to be a sad place for beer. Stuff from overseas, stuff from Delaware, stuff from Colorado and the Northwest, but the only Texas beer I found that appeared drinkable was Saint Arnold, from Houston. Texas's oldest microbrewery, it said. It seemed tolerable (I tried the Brown Ale), but not the sort of thing one would spring with alacrity to purchase again. I can quite easily go the rest of my life without Saint Arnold. But I did appreciate the clerks' asking if I wanted a bag. Usually I don't, and it's nice not to have to fight not to get one.

The most overpriced liquor store in Fort Worth.Compare with Specs or total wine,their prices are at least 40%higher. I used to shop there quite often but not any more.

We recently got married in Fort Worth, and King's Liquor supplied the beer, wine, liquor, and non-alcoholic drinks (sodas, Topo Chico) for our wedding. The order specialist Stewart was very helpful with great ideas/suggestions, helped us order particular beers that we really wanted to have, and responsive. Their prices and delivery fees were reasonable, and in some cases even better than another place we initially considered ordering from. They also had some options we couldn't find elsewhere. They let you return anything unopened and unchilled (except for a small restocking fee), and that process was also a breeze. Thank you so much King's Liquor!

We went to Kings Liquor to pick out beer and wine for our wedding reception. They were extremely helpful in helping us pick out the right beers and wines while helping us stay within our budget. They even delivered all of this to our reception venue for a small fee. And when the wedding was over, we were able to bring back any unused/unopened bottles for a refund. Can't really ask for more than that! They really took care of us. Highly recommended!

New to the area. This is the best liquor store I have found on the near west side and around TCU. Prices are not bargains but selection is great. I prefer the local Texas beers and they seem to have most. And not just a 6 pack of each. Seem to have a good selection of wine and spirits too. I have always been greeted with a hello when coming in and asked if I needed any help finding anything. Thought I had seen this on Yelp before with a lot of negative comments but maybe that was google maps. I don't don't really have anything bad to say about them. I tried 4-5 other stores before here and I can say I have never gone back to those and been back here a few times already.

I go to King's on Berry, not to look at the building as one reviewer mentioned, but for the very large selection of excellent wines, sparkling wines and Champagnes, Cognacs, single malt Scotch and other liquors. Another great reason to go to King's on Berry is because of the staff, particularly Ray and Stewart whose expert and very extensive knowledge of wine and liquors and their friendly and helpful advice will guide you to that perfect bottle for a special dinner or just some good, standing around, talking with friends by the grill "affordable" and friendly but good drinking wines or adult beverages.I would say that King's has a HUGE selection of wines from the cult cabernets down to the more modest and affordable wines. They have a back room of bargain close out wines and if you really need and can afford Chateau Petrus or a Romanee Conti, you can ask for it and they either have it or can get it for you. Great selection of Champagnes and sparkling wines also.
