Kimpton Harper Hotel

Room service & house keeping staff personnel are great, friendly & do their best!Going to assume management & lack of protocol is to blame. Had to ask for all IHG member allotted perks, additional bedding request was a silly allotment (stained covers & sad coverlet for a blanket), etc.Hotel is pretty to look at but sad to have to stay in; get up to par or just be a stain on Texas visits! This hotel will now be our go-to downtown Fort Worth hotel. It has such a classy vibe with impecable styling and service. We were upgraded to a suite on the top room floor (#23) - wow. Check-in is on the top floor (#24) which is also their lounge area with a nice bar. This hotel has a perfect location- central to all of downtown and 10mins away from Magnolia Street. So many nice bars & restaurants within a 1-4 block walk.

Kimpton Harper is an exceptional place to stay in Fort Worth! Perfect location overlooking Sundance Square- walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Excellent customer service, beautiful view over the square from roof top bar, nice, quaint room with lots of space. The staff was friendly and personable. We enjoyed breakfast the next morning and the complimentary coffee was excellent. We found this hotel to be charming and loved all the little extras making such a thoughtful touch to out of towners.

The best thing about this hotel is the location walking distance from Sundance square and their top floor bar and view. The hotel is old and even with visible upgrades to make it aesthetically nice, there were still many issues one of many being how incredibly slow their elevators are. We constantly spent time just waiting for them and with the lobby on the 24th floor and our room on the 18th, there were really no other options. The room was "ok" but did not even have an iron or steamer, had no bathroom fan switch and had only one plug in the bathroom that did not work. Any time we showered we had to deal with an intermittent squeal and vibration from the pipes the entire time the water was on. The room continued to pump out cold air despite what we did with the thermostat. All night we had a mysterious beeping from inside the room that we couldn't identify. The front desk staff were not very warm or friendly and are definitely just doing their job and nothing more. They treated us like a nuisance for unknowingly using a third party to book the room (we were not aware of this until they told us since the third party has their name as their website). The valet took FOREVER and for $50 a night, we didn't expect to be waiting almost 30 minutes for the car. This place is advertised as an upscale 4 star but they are barely a 3. There are much nicer places to stay without the headache that comes with this place.

We love visiting the Kimpton in Fort Worth for little staycations. Many very good restaurants within walking distance. I regret that the parking in that area is so expensive. That seems like a downtown issue and not the responsibility of the hotel though. It is nice to stay in a hotel with a full service restaurant and rooftop bar. The rooms are so nice! We have been here once before and will definitely return!

Nice hotel with old school charm. Interesting check-in procedure. The registration desk is on the top floor. Great views with nightly happy hour on this 24th floor. I'll say you must have patience as everything is slow at this establishment. Be ready to wait to check in if there is more than one guest at a time, if you order any services or supplies to the room, and if you need valet. So plan ahead of you're in a rush. The beds are fabulous, rooms nicely done and the extra living space made it excellent for an office set up separate from the sleeping area. The new diamond elite perks are good here offering dining credit options, free breakfast, late check out and much more. I'd stay again for sure!

This was not a four star experience. They're shooting for a remodeled historic vibe, but apparently are struggling through the process as several important things were inoperable at the time of our stay. Beginning with the hotel's computer system causing around a 20 minute delay in check-in. We were then informed that ice machines were all broken, except for even floors above 16. Like... What? Refillable water station on the third floor turned out to be the water cooler in the gym, LOL. Top it off with arriving in our room to discover broken AC on a brutally hot and humid Texas day. Picked up the phone to call the front desk only to discover that the phone is also inoperable. We got through on a cell only to have the girl who checked us in state, "engineering won't be here until 9 in the morning". Uhhhhh... What? Are you seriously suggesting that we stay in a room with no AC and it will just get fixed tomorrow? This is a 4 star establishment? Really? At this point we would have left and found accommodations elsewhere had it not been so late. Instead we had to ASK to be moved to a suitable room. When we went back up to re-key, move all our luggage, etc., staff response was tepid at best. I honestly wouldn't stay here again for half of what I paid. There are too many other options within 1 mile. Stay away from this one.

We had a rough start at this hotel. Request a handicapped room and received a hearing impaired room which could not accommodate us. Wayne the manger completely turn ed things around and solved most of our problems with room and service. They strive to resolve service issues and growing challenges along the way. They do care about the guests and solve problems that arise. Things did turn around. Hotel is clean and very nice upscale with valet service and a great location Thank you Wayne and his team.

From the check in to the well appointed room, everything was excellent! The service on the part of the team members was very good. They had incredible views from the top floor bar and reception area for the afternoon snack and glass of wine.From the location, one can walk for blocks and explore downtown.
