Since this is a park I feel free to give Five stars for sentimental value!!!!I grew up in Oak Cliff Texas. This is a section of Dallas in the western region of the city limit. At one time it was populated by the working class. One of my acquaintances and peripheril friends was Stevie Ray Vaughn. We went to the same elementary and High School. This park was a " Hang out" back in the day. Now,I didn't do much hanging out here and I'm not sure about Stevie. I do know his childhood home is right down the street. So possibly when the City of Dallas decided to honor Stevie and his brother Jimmy,Kiest park was a good place to do it.Last September which would have been Stevie's 67 th birthday,a memorial steel art sculpture depicting Stevie Ray Vaughn and Jimmy Vaughn was dedicated here.Stevie was a great musician taken from us way too soon. I think the City did a great job remembering him with this surprisingly good steel sculpture. If you're in Dallas,it's definitely worth the trip. If you are a Stevie Ray fan, it's a must do.Go!

Can't bring outside drinks to a hot 4 hour baseball game? It's 90 degrees and high humidity. Absolutely ridiculous I wasn't allowed to bring my bottled water. Never heard of this policy at a public park.

Very nice park ... Huge ... So much space .. we only went straight to the play ground area but the park stretched as far as I could see ... Will definitely have to go back and walk the trail ..!! I wander how safe it is in the evening time ...

It's a beautiful day- after all the rain and tornados we've had these couple of days. It's not to busy right now but people are out here getting their fitness on. On any giving time you can come and walk, run, jog if you like. I have seen workout groups on occasion. (Bootcamps) I don't have kids but have notice kids in uniforms practicing soccer- I guess more doing the summer time. It's a kid area with slides, a tennis area, and also maybe baseball but don't quote me on that. I Google it and it said 2.8 miles around. It's not intimidating because once you get started- it's over before you know it. Best of all its free. The park does have a qym. It's been awhile since asking but it wasn't expensive to join. I believe they still have a ZUMBA class here also. I did that once a long time ago- good class. Rather cold or hot- this is a nice place to come and relax or workout at. P.S. people do bring their dogs here.

What a beautiful park. As we went down to play some tennis here at The Kiest Tennis Club. This Tennis Club is surrounded by beautiful trees and when the weather is perfect like it was for us, its so relaxing as well. These tennis courts are gated in and the courts are well maintained. The park area is also well up kept. There is private tennis practices going on sometimes in the bottom courts and then their is a school that practices till like 5pm most days. Outside of that, it looks as if the courts are open to the community. So if you are in the area, and looking for a place to play tennis for a few hours, this is the place right here!

Eff White Rock! Keist Park has the BEST walking trail in Dallas. Plenty of shade and best of all, no obnoxious bikers or gaggles of running clubs.Aside from the most excellent walking trail, they have a community center, play grounds, soccer fields, tennis courts, picnic areas, EVERYTHING! Plus, I used to have my Girl Scout troop meetings here so I get a little nostalgic every time I visit:-) I love this place!
