Lovely for a walk! Could spend an hour or so strolling and enjoying the scenario. Some shaded spots but really wouldn't rely on shade.

Whether you're seeking excitement, rest, or a good time. This park essentially has everything. Contrary to previous reviews, this location is now truly stunning as you can see from the few photos provided. For anyone in the area, I sincerely recommend visiting this park.It has a very small, but thought-provoking, section that is fenced off for monarch butterflies. Once it is monarch season, this could potentially excite young children. In addition, if that doesn't excite the kids, I'm sure the water park will. It has two slides that may be frightening for the kids, but they may also be thrilling and it has a nice-sized pool. Only drawback, in my opinion, is that they only operate during the summer.(I believe)If all else fails, there is a small playground for children, as well as a park that can be reached by going off trail that has a much larger playground for children of all sizes. However, there is a tennis court, basketball court, and baseball field for the more sporty individuals, so if any of these sports are your thing, you can undoubtedly enjoy the space for your sport. Additionally, if you prefer playing indoor sports, there is a basketball court and an indoor gym that are available. However, accessing it does require payment. In my opinion, this park just has nice little additions like the vandalized tunnel and the Japanese garden for the benefit of everyone outside. If you're looking for great photo spots, there are a number of them in both of these tiny areas of the park, which each add their own vibe and flavor. You could easily spend an hour or two walking around the entire park if you truly take your time and appreciate everything it has to offer. It takes about half a mile to walk around the park on your own.Overall, the scenery is absolutely stunning. In addition to being a great place for a romantic date, it's also a great place to kill some time by strolling around. As previously stated, I'd recommend this park to anyone who is in the area. Absolutely stunning sights, and it was just a fun time.

Family members moved into the nearby neighborhood & we all visited the park a few times. It is a good destination for a number of reasons: the Aquatic Center, with its large pool, pool slide, kiddie pools, etc was built only about two years ago (although the hours of swimming for the general public are NOT particularly inviting), there are resident ducks that bathe, wander, swim in and around the park's lake & flowing Kidd Springs, there is a tennis court, Japanese Garden that is presently under reconstruction so we could not enjoy that, there is a large rec center that offers classes, picnic tables, barbecue grills, &, at the 5th Street entrance, there is a large playground with toddler swings, climbing wall, etc. Since parts of the park are shaded, it is a good place to come, check out the ducks and cool off.

This is one of the parks that the City of Dallas has recently given a facelift to. They have a great pool (water slides, wall climb, kiddie area, diving boards) and offer season passes for $50 or you can pay $6 a day for Dallas residents. They also have a recreation center that has a summer program along with other a tickets throughout the year. The actual park is utilized for lots of festivals. There is a parking lot as well as street parking. Great addition to the area.

Only bad thing is if you stay till 3:30 you will have to get out and repay to enter again. When we went the system was down and this happens quite often. The managers or owners of this establishment should take these young kids they have working into consideration when I was there waiting for the system to come back up so that I could pay again to get back in others weren't so understanding. Grown ass people were saying they were going to bum rush the kid at the gate and that he wasn't gonna do anything about it other grown-ups we're just going on and on complaining about something these kids don't have any control over. The young manager that was on site was doing everything she could to help she was calling everyone and we were told that we could not get in free unless the higher up will let them know if you're system is down for over 30 minutes that would be something you need to consider. So sad that they would have to go through that working there because whoever does have the control to fix the system just won't do it.

Nice swimming pool for all ages. Has 2 slides, a lot of shaded areas to sit, kiddie pool area and cost $14 for 1 adult & 2 kids under 11. The only negatives I would mention is the young staff at the cashier window. We sat there staring at them for 2 minutes while they were texting in their phone instead of helping us. The other negative would be there are a lot of bees around. Other than that, it's a great place to cool off.

This is a neat little park in Oakcliff, I did a 5k here, and I need to venture out to Oakcliff more. There are a ton of hidden gems here. The 5k started here, and there were FOOD trucks here, I LOVE FOOD TRUCKS! Too bad, all I got was a banana because I was about to run a 5k, if I had eaten anything from the food truck, I would have fallen asleep and missed the 5k. This is a cute park with plenty of parking around.

This multi purpose park is jam packed year round with family friendly events and activities. Kidd Spring Park features a local swimming pool, lake with wild water fowl, tennis court, playground with swings, benches, picnic tables, bbq grillers, gym, fitness room and activity center. And plenty of walking paths to enjoy the scenery all year round. My favorite event is the free Dallas Symphony Orchestra concert that performs every year. With half a dozen food trucks, local choir groups, and more. It is a classic to enjoy and support.
