Kebab Uncle

Got chicken and beef kabob plates. Flavor is fine but a bit on the spicy side. It is a family business so it might just be their way. Service is fine for take out mostly.

This place I have avoided for exactly two years because I kept thinking that i wasn't going to enjoy it. Why? Because the menu was really limited. 2 Wraps, 2 salads and 4 rice plates to choose from. And being me I always narrowed it down to the rice plates and thought that I would never be full by just eating one piece of chicken and some rice and so I avoided coming here. Well, it was a waste of missed opportunity and I completely understand now why this place has such great reviews. It's like Raising Cane's where they only do a few things, but they do it really well. I ordered the rice and chicken and it was just so delicious! Whenever you hear about a dish that has so much flavor, this is the kind of dish they're talking about. The rice was so flavorful and there's a lot of it. The one piece of chicken is grilled to perfection. You can taste the smokiness and it is seasoned extremely well. Since then, I've had the rice plate two more times and I always enjoy every bite. With that said, I still asked the first time if they had any secret baba ghanoush or hummus hiding in the kitchen. They don't (only fries), but I'll forgive this place because the main attraction is just that good.

Almost no seating, this place clearly is more of a take-out and catering place. But they made room for us to dine in on Father's Day. All of the food was good, we had chicken, beef and steak. My fav was the beef kebab. It's a little on the pricey side, but good quality and would be great for catering a party. I wouldn't dine in again, but would pick it up for serving to guests.

Love this little local place in Coppell. It is located right next to the local Islamic center so you can bet money that they know what they are doing. We came here for the grill chicken salad and fried fish with rice. These are pretty much our go to dishes. This is a very nice family owned restaurant so you see the father always behind the cashier.

I had a very pleasant conversation with kebab uncle( I'm not sure what is your actual name so sorry) while I was trying to set an order for a birthday party. He was very kind and explained the menu properly. Also the food came out well. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. And I have shared you amongst our family. I hope you will all give Kebab Uncle a Chance.

Good food but terrible customer service. As an out of town visitor (from Chicago) I picked this place to have a quick bite with my local friends. They say they close at 9 pm which for most places means they close the doors at 9 and you can order up until 9 pm. So we get there around 8:20 and place our order. One of my friends was running late so we asked him for his order; he texted back at 8:30 so we waited for the guy to come back out and he's like "the grill is closed". Weird bc we didn't get our food yet. He arrived a few minutes later and went up the guy and said "ok what do you guys have already made?" And he's like "we have some chicken" and he's like "fine ill take that". So food comes out at like 8:45 pm. We went and asked for some extra plates and the guy is like "you guys need to finish eating by 9 pm because we are closing." Thankfully the kebabs were juicy but we had to start scarfing food down to make it by 9. The rice was OK. Had a buncha raisins (not a fan) so had to sort those out. Probably not coming back on my next Dallas trip.

An unassuming exterior with a somewhat cramped interior elicits a myriad of judgements and preconceptions from the get-go, but for the most part, only my positive predictions came to be true. The service here is somewhat slow and rudimentary, reliant more on old-fashioned person-to-person communication than technology, and once the lunch rush hits (which it will) expect semi-long waits. However, they do their best to give you suitable recommendations and get the food out to you to the best of their ability. They have the method, just not the means (or space) to really speed things up. The food here is the stand out all star, both in terms of this review and compared to their competition. They offer a more niche version of Chicken and Rice, namely South Asian BBQ items, but provide much more quality and stomach filling satisfaction than you'd get otherwise. Their Beef and Chicken Skewers in particular have a distinct and tantalizing seasoning while maintaining a balance between juicy interior and crispy exterior. The salad is simple but fresh, while the sauces don't make you feel heavy or bloated. Even the Aroma rice here has its own unique flavor which further compliments the whole. Their fries and burgers are well cooked and seasoned, about what you'd look for in a solid meal. The only miss are the wraps, which are a very poor representation of the overall quality of the restaurant and should be avoided in favor of their other items. Small beginnings don't limit the quality or opportunity at this business, and should they keep the same enthusiasm they'll surely continue to grow. Highly recommend!

Great service!! Super fast and friendly, the food was amazing. 10/10. Great portion size for the chicken rice plate. Gave a huge side of garlic sauce as well. Will be absolutely returning.

Best place to get salad with kabab. Love it. Favorite place in Dallas. Live it, enjoyed it and repeat it all the time when back in Dallas.

Lamb shank with rice...very good. No longer live near Coppell but would consider the drive for this meal.
