Katherine Rose Park is located off Walnut Creek in Mansfield, Tx, offering a fun filled place for friends and families to come out and enjoy nature in a wonderful environment that has trails, a Kids playground, and plenty of green luscious grass. We came by on a Saturday to let the kids release some energy and enjoy the beautiful weather we were having. There is ample parking on site with plenty of spaces to park your car. There are also restrooms and a water fountain as well. This park offers a kids playground with many things to play on, such as swings, slides, and poles to slide down. The playground offers a nice bouncy sponge ground for safety and traction. There are multiple pavilions located here with a bench and table that also have BBQ grills. They also have a large sized Pavillion with BBQ grills that is perfect for birthday parties or family gatherings. There are signs posted saying the pavilions are first come, first serve, so i highly suggest coming early because I can see this park filling up quickly. There is also a small pond towards the back of the park where you can go fishing and just relax and enjoy the water. The park has trails where you can run or walk and get your miles in that leads to other Mansfield parks in the area. If you love nature, then this park is for you! The park is dog friendly with a leash, and they also provide many doggie bag stations with bags to clean up after your furry friend.Overall, this is a great park to go to and enjoy while getting your daily dose of vitamin D and getting some fresh air. This park is a must-see when visiting, and I highly recommend this hidden gem!

This park is amazing fantastic place to let the kiddos run around and enjoy being outdoors! There is a mommy and me swing and also a few big kid swings. The equipment is all in working order, nothing broken or worn-down. There are quite a few horseshoe throws underneath the trees! We enjoyed walking through the grass and gazing at the tall trees, they've been there a while and provide nice shade. Near the parking lot there is a basketball court in case you want to throw some hoops. The parking lot loops around and has ample spaces. Bathrooms are clean and have soap/toilet paper. Trash bins were emptied on our visit, so no wasps or anything swarming. It was such a lovely visit!

This park is by far ONE of the best that I have been to in the DFW are. The trail goes for days and there's such lush greenery. Not to mention there are actually gym equipment bolted into the ground to be used by locals who are visiting the park. Well, of course you can't use the gym equipment here now as Covid is going on, but the is at least an elliptical and a bench and I believe some other equipment. As for the trail, there's several sections to the trail, there's parks and honestly there's just space to run free and chill. There's also a basketball court too. If you've ever visited any of the awesome trials in San Antonio, this trial will remind you of those. One of those trials where you can truly just relax, run, walk, or cycle.

What a great park! Just moved here 3 months back from out of state. It was a 75 degree day and sunny in January so we had to go for a good walk with our dogs as the last few days were dreary and kind of cold.Enjoyed the trail which was mostly concrete and clean. There were many trash cans and several places where there is exercise equipment to use. The playground areas were clean and well cared for too. Great place for kids to play. Too bad there are still pet owners who don't clean up their pet's droppings. There really is no excuse not to pick it up as the park provides bags to use in many places around the park. Next time I will bring my pooper scooper and pick it up myself. I want this park to be the epitome of clean Mansfield parks.

Beautiful park, plenty of paths, bikes and leashed puppies are welcome and there is so much greenery to look at. If you walk the complete perimeter, you might hit a few different smaller Mansfield parks.Paths are wide and accommodating. We have been when the path is fully occupied, or there's several cyclists, but it's pretty courteous here. This park is well maintained and there are several picnic areas at the front and benches throughout. The outer parks have some small picnic areas too. There are some petite waterways and stunning wildflowers that perk up the walk. Now it can get hot here so I'd bring water. I just can't express how much I love this park. I love parks that aren't completely flattened and still have some nature. Mansfield parks is doing something right-Elmer Oliver is another winner if you're in the area.

Great park... The location was off a Main Street, but still nestled away to feel like an escape. The playground was big and had something for my youngest to my oldest. The trails were mediocre, as a visitor I didn't know where the trail led... One path led to dead ends, but it appeared like it was leading to more trail. While another path lead to looping the playground, not much for an interrupted run.
