Jeng Chi Restaurant

Amazing restaurant! Lunch here was spectacular. The menu was super extensive and had so many options. It was so hard to choose what to get. Ended up getting the five spiced marinated eggs for an appetizer. They were presented so delicately and beautifully. This seasoning was perfect. For my entrée, I got the soup dumplings. They were hot and fresh, and they came with so many! It was also easy to get them off of the paper to eat. Our waitress was excellent. Service overall was very excellent. Waters were always topped off. The inside was clean and decorated for the new year. The restaurant is located in a complex that has a lot of other places to go like bakeries, other restaurants and grocery stores. There is a large parking lot for the complex and all the spaces are free.

Had dinner here with a large group of friends. We ordered dishes family style. Really enjoyed the soup dumplings, which were hot, fresh, and full of flavor. They were easy to pick up and didn't break easily. The scallion pancake was also tasty and filling- a perfect appetizer to share! The green bean side dish was also one of my faves because of its full flavor!Our servers were incredibly nice and made sure our drinks were constantly refilled. Dishes came out fast. This is one of the better Chinese restaurants for Dallas area. I wanna preface my Chinese restaurant reviews by saying first if we compare any Chinese restaurant in Dallas area to Asia it's 6/10. That being said if we compare this to Dallas area is probably 9/10. I would pass on the dumplings here. Homemade would taste better. It's a bit pricey and the flour while made in store from what I hear just isn't that great. It's authentic enough and appreciate that there's Chinese restaurants around the area for my Chinese cravings

I loved dragging my friends here!! The xlbs have gotten better from my last visit here (it was a while since I have ordered it again; last visit there was some weird goop coming from them, but i was so relieved that has been fixed). The scallion pancakes are always my favorite, as are the veggie dumplings! My friends wanted to order some of the entrees dishes, which i have never ever ordered in all the years going here, and they were decent! The fish was definitely some cheap white fish drenched in orange sauce, but that's such a crowd pleaser who can blame them. The cumin lamb was yummy, pretty americanized but still good

If you're looking for authentic, then Jeng Chi is a must try. We stopped by on a Saturday evening and it was packed. The wait was short and we were seated quickly. The place is a beehive of activity and Chinese charm, almost as much fun as the food. Green onion pancake, stir fried noodle, pork and shrimp dumplings, and the best fried fish with garlic I've had. Absolutely everything was cooked to perfection. Prices are really reasonable, we were out for under $60.00 for 3, before the tip. Our server was exceptional and really helped make the dinner great.

Went to lunch with family. We ordered sautéed spinach, salt and pepper shrimp, beef and broccoli and house fried rice. Busy place on a Sunday lunch. Serving Staff is friendly. Well decorated dining area. Lots of parking space.

I love jeng chi. Their soup dumplings are awesome! Wish they never got rid of the lamb soup dumplings.. those were my favourite!I've tried almost everything on the menu and here is what I recommend:All their dumplings! So filling and delicious. The pork & crab, and curry chicken dumpling are my fav. I also love their noodle dishes or their vegetable dishes.Mongolian beef is good too. I usually try to order at least one vegetarian dish so my go to is either a vegetable delight or sautéed Chinese broccoli with garlic.A wonderful gem this place is!

Food was bomb but portion was small. Unsure if they had lunch and dinner portion differences. We were at lunch and thought they would know to bring dinner portion with 10 people. We ordered two chicken curry XLB, green beans and pork, orange chicken, two soups, braised pork belly, lamb cumin, combination fried rice. Lamb cumin was the best one.

Soup dumplings are a must ! Lychee martini Kung pao chicken is another favorite and they have a wide selection of delicious desserts.

This restaurant is our go-to for great dumplings. They are consistently excellent.This trip, we started with small steamed with pork and they were great. I tried beef turnover for hot app and they were very tasty but needed salt.For entrees the wife had pork with garlic sauce. She loved it. Great flavor and a bit spicy.I had moo shi chicken and liked it but it was not traditional because there were no wraps to make a Chinese fajita. Service was excellent.The Jack Brown draft beer was excellent.We love this place and will be back for sure.
