Japan House has definitely decreased in experience and quality since they opened. As one of the first AYCE in the area, it set high standards with an insane variety of food to choose from at a fair price. However, now it is very restricting on what you can order. The limit they set is kind of insane because we used to be able to order multiple soups & salad & sashimi/rolls all at once but now they set a hard limit and most of the time spent there is waiting because the portions are also smaller and less quality. I'm pretty sure we finished our food in 1/3 of the time we spent there. Also, the last time I ate here I was sick after and I have not been back. It was the only thing I ate that day too so I'm just weary. I highly believe they need to lift the hard limit on ordering because it's honestly quite annoying trying to order and waiting 20 min for something we will eat in 5 min. Not going out of my way to come back :/

Second time here. I was wary of the concept at first, but it works very well. If you don't know, it is all you can eat, but there are servers that take your order and deliver your order, unless it's the robot server! You are limited to three picks per order. Service is prompt enough that this is not a problem. Food is quite good, and sushi, sashimi and rolls taste fresh. Some items are only available on the dinner menu, which is more expensive than the lunch menu. Also I think something is new from my first visit; items that carry an additional charge. All in all, I've enjoyed both visits. I don't typically go for all you can eat, because I don't eat much, but I did like both Tim e s here.Note: On weekends the only menu is the more expensive dinner menu. I didn't know this, but I did enjoy the extra options, mostly sashimi. Oh, and some food is delivered by robot. The server takes items off the robot for you, but it's fun to watch. Inside is rather compartmentalized, so it's possible to have a more intimate dinning experience, as opposed to the giant buffet places.

We usually love Japan House and everything it offers, we came in on Labor Day which could explain the change but our food wasn't the best, our rolls which were usually crunchy were chewy and hard and it wasn't the same. Our waiter however was absolutely amazing and attentive and the review doesn't reflect him at all!

First time trying this place on a Saturday lunchtime it was great. It was not super busy but sat at the bar, however they told us if we got a table it's an all you can eat restaurant. We wasn't sure how much we would need so we just ordered off of the normal menu. The bartender was friendly and the food came out so fast and it was all great. We started with clear soup, and pork buns. We then ordered the mussels. Then I chose the Dallas roll which is raw sushi with a little spice. My husband ordered a cooked king j roll. Everything tasted fresh and had such great flavor. Even our cocktails the lychee blast and the Japanese old fashioned were great. I love how it looks like a Japanese building and all the decor inside is cool, the prices well so reasonable. I will definitely come back

One of the best all you can eat Sushi and Sashimi dinner in town. Fresh fish, perhaps not a premium quality but good. Service is excellent plus it's great atmosphere.

All of our food was served warm to cool, nothing was hot. Four of us ordered different items and nothing stood out, not fresh and nothing tasted good to bring us back here. Environment was loud. For the price of $34!! per person, it's a big no from us.

I recently dined at Japan House and had a pleasant experience overall. The service was a standout aspect of the visit--our server was incredibly attentive, making sure our needs were met promptly and with a smile. The restaurant's cleanliness also impressed me. The restrooms, in particular, were spotless, which is always a good sign of overall attention to detail. When it comes to the food, most of the sashimi was excellent. It was fresh and flavorful, showcasing the quality of ingredients they use. However, I did find that some of the cooked rolls were a bit overwhelming in terms of their flavors and ingredients. It's a matter of personal preference, but the richness of the rolls may not be for everyone. All in all, Japan House is worth a visit, especially if you appreciate attentive service and fresh sashimi. Just be prepared for some of the cooked rolls to hit you with a bit more complexity than you might expect!

honestly if you come here solely for the sashimi, you get ur $'s worth. The rolls were underwhelming and lacked in flavor though :(
