I was in Town for a Concert. I remembered it's tradition to get the Irish Nachos at J Gilligan's. There was a lot going on when I walked in. I'll explain.Mesquite High was having their High School Reunion and some Dancers from Miss Persis Dance Studio was in the house. They were receiving Vip treatment but, that didn't stop the Manager from taking my order and getting it right with minimal wait time. The Manager hooked me up w a free drink too He was super nice to his employees. He gave direction well and was not flustered even with a crowd.I was able to share my Irish Nachos with my Fam. They truly enjoyed it and thanked me several times for sharing. If your looking for a tasty appetite. I would recommend the Irish Nachos.

Every time I give this place another try, I end up asking myself why?!?!Service sucks. Food sucks. I wanted a few beers one day...less than a dozen people in there and never was I even acknowledged. Gave them another chance...nachos were not edible. Club sandwich was made with bread that was all torn up. I'm done with this place!!

JR Gilligan's is a traditional spot in Arlington for just good food or to meet up with friends. Best known for their Irish nachos, which are basically baked potato skins with cheese, sour cream and bacon bacon, they have a lot of really interesting. Tasty bar food, some Irish some Tex mix. Some trying to be both. Always tasty. You can also get Great beers, mixed drinks or just a big ice tea. Great place to go with the family. The service is great, they treat you like family. And the well worn bar and entry area gives you a feeling of an Irish bar or a Honkytonk. Interesting mix.

Honestly the best bar I've been to in Dallas. The layout is a labyrinth, you feel like you're walking thru your grandmas rumpus room, then traveling thru time to a real Irish pub. Surprisingly good food, stiff drinks, an affordable pool table, and a trivia night with a cult following. I think I'll be back

Ordered thru grub hub and we knew it wouldn't be as good as in house but Lordy. The CFS was good sized but the bun was the size of a slider. I mean half of it wouldn't even fit on the bun they used. And the lettuce was disgusting. My husband ordered a medium burger with no onions and got a rare burger smothered in onions with a bun that fell apart from being so soggy. Food was good, their execution not so much. We literally took their meat and put it on the buns we had at home thankfully. Would not recommend delivery orders but may try in house next time.

Everyone loves Gilligans and they love Randy Ford even more!! Arlington couldn't ask for a more community oriented gentleman! He's not a stranger to hosting events for schools, retired teachers, class reunions, and THE St. Patrick's Day Party! His Irish Nachos have been featured on the Food Network. If you're attending a game or concert at AT&T Stadium or Baseball Game at Globe Life, park free at Gilligans and take their shuttle! You can grab some Irish Nachos, a beer (Rum and Coke for me!) and jump on the shuttle for the event!!400 E Abram. Look for the green building and patio!

If you haven't been to J Gilligan's in Arlington, you're missing out on a Texas-sized good time. I went in expecting a run-of-the-mill sports bar experience and left with a belly full of the best Irish nachos this side of the Atlantic and a heart full of joy thanks to Luka Dončić's game-winning 3-pointer. Picture this: It's a nail-biter of a game, Mavs versus Timberwolves, Mavs down 107 to 108. The atmosphere is electric. Just as I dig into my crispy, cheesy, bacon-laden Irish nachos (seriously, these things are tasty as hell), Dončić drops a 3 like it's hot and the place erupts. Beer spills, high-fives are exchanged with strangers, and for a moment, we all become family. And speaking of beer, a domestic for $4.75? In this economy? Come on, how can you not enjoy this Arlington icon? If you need a place to witness sports history, indulge in some sinfully good nachos, and keep your wallet happy, J Gilligan's is the spot. Go Mavs!
