Parker County is to peaches what green chile is to Hatch (NM). August Prince and August Flame are akin to NuMex6/4 and Big Jim. The Hutton Peach Farm is the place to buy your Parker County Peaches. Yes they are also available at the Weatherford Farmers Market but go to the source! Insider tip: the "seconds" box of are ready to eat and at a discount.

The peaches here are fabulous! I discovered this place on my way out to Mineral Wells on afternoon. I have made it my mission to return every year. I love love love warm fresh peaches. The service is kind and just lets you shop for what you want. Non invasive. The ambiance is quaint, similar to a fruit stand.

The peaches were too expensive and the woman at the checkout station was kind of rude.

Bought a bad watermelon on Saturday then bought a batch of what we thought were peaches but after cutting in to one, I think it's a nectarine. Wasn't labeled as such, so after spending $25 for them I'm pretty disappointed. Tried calling them and the voice mailbox is full. They've lost my confidence.

They answered questions about kinds of peaches and were helpful in every way. It's indoors and that helps from the heat. The only suggestion I have is to enlarge the space and make checkout easier. That would really top off a great experience!

On a friend's recommendation, my husband and I drove 2 hours round-trip from Denton. I was so excited about a little road trip for some Texas peaches for baking. I work for a local deli/market where we cook and bake and so I was purchasing some for myself and my boss. We arrived a bit after 9 am, when they opened. Upon walking into the door of the shop, we were only greeted with--"we only take cash or check." No hello, how are you, thank you for coming in, can I help you. My husband and I looked around a bit and it took me some time on what quantity to select. I asked the lady how many cups does one peach yield. She gruffly answered, "I don't know anything about cooking or baking, I am just an enthusiastic clerk. Google it." Okay fine, I guess that was a dumb question. After deciding to purchase 1/2 bushel and a large basket of peaches, three tomatoes, a jar of bread and butter pickles and pickled beets and dropping $115, I requested a receipt (for my boss). Grumpy lady wasn't happy about that, but she quickly wrote on a paper receipt the total amount. I asked her if she could write down the amount for the small basket--she pushes the paper and pen in my direction telling me to write it down and she would sign it. And proceeds to angrily say "I have customers!" (There was 1-2 customers in line behind me that she had already started to help.) Seems I was no longer a customer once she had my money in hand. Upon payment, she couldn't be bothered to thank us for our business. I left so upset that my peach outing was ruined. I will never go out of my way to go to this farm again. There ARE peach farms closer to my home. Customer service was absolutely terrible. I work for a small, family-owned business and I know how critical it is to be nice and helpful for customers when they walk in the door--because there are plenty of choices out there for shopping! This place will never get my business again.
