Flight was delayed until 4 am, could not check in on the app, and no one could help me. Save time. Stay at the Hilton.

The very best part of Hotel Revel was Shelton who has many functions at the hotel and makes a very good martini. It's a unique concept and only for those who are comfortable with completely human free checkin and arrival. It's a very spare interior. The furniture in the rooms is attached to the walls so can't be moved, there is no desk space or chair in the room, so also not conducive if you're planning to work from your room. The bar on the entry level is attractive and inviting (and is closed on Sundays). If possible arrive in the daytime so you can more easily navigate the check in and parking.

We enjoyed our stay! The hotel is super cool in a great area! We did have some trouble finding parking around 330p when we arrived but only had to wait about five minutes for someone to leave. At night there was plenty of parking when we got back around 10p. The bed is so comfortable and I loved the art in the halls. The floors are concrete so don't forget your socks/slippers! The only negative thing is the walls are paper thin. We could hear everything our neighbors said out in the hall and in their room. I could even hear the buzzing of a cell phone getting text messages in the morning. I am not a light sleeper so I was ok but something to consider! We would definitely stay again!

Tried to stay here for a birthday get away, the air conditioner was broken in the summer, room would not cool to lower than 80, and nobody would respond to our messages for assistance. Totally ruined the birthday, evening, and our whole experience.

Very loud traffic noise. Huge windows and the blinds don't block the light. Huge red glowing exit sign in corner of the room. Poor excuse for an air conditioner too. They literally put a $15 box fan in the room to try to help. Downstairs bar pounds loud music. So bring ear plugs, eye cover, and a strong sedative if you want to stay here. Never again! Oh and the tv is mounted in a stupid location on the wall so you can't watch while in bed. Hipster stupidity!

My wife and I stayed there over the weekend, and I must say, DON'T EVER STAY HERE. If you are planning on staying the weekend, good luck finding parking after 4pm. There are about 6 restaurants/businesses directly next door to the hotel, and they get a lot of traffic, so you may end up circling the parking lot for hours until someone pulls out for you to park. This is extremely upsetting and annoying, as when you drive 5+ hours from another state, you expect to be able to park and go to bed, not circle endlessly to hopefully find a space. They also didn't tell us the code to get back in the building, so after we came back from dinner, we nearly froze to death outside while I tried calling the staff to get the code.My wife and I hated the vibe and the atmosphere of the hotel, because the walls were paper-thin, so you hear EVERYTHING in that hotel, as well as all the cars, ambulances, firetrucks, etc., as it is about a block from the Baylor hospital. There was a screaming kid all night the first night, so we got little sleep. The windows on the back side of the hotel face an apartment complex, and from the outside, the windows are not mirrored or darkened, so the people in the apartment complex can see everything happening inside the room, so you feel very exposed. The first night we stayed, the AC in the room didn't work, so it was 80+ degrees in that room, which was strange as outside it was 40 degrees. I talked to the hotel help desk, but as there's normally no staff on site, it took a long time for them to look at it, and in the end, it still wasn't fixed, so we had to sleep in a room where the temperature was 82 all night long. You also are not able to change the mode or the temperature on your thermostat, as I believe it's locked by the hotel, which does not make any sense. The next day, our keycard stopped working, and I had to wait for someone in the bar to re-chip my key, as there is no one at the desk on Saturday, and the parking Saturday night was even worse than Friday night. After complaining about the heat multiple times, they finally moved us to a different room where they claimed the AC WAS running, but you still cannot change the thermostat, so it was still hot. The only reason I didn't give it -1000 stars, was because Yelp won't let me.

If I could put 0 stars I would! This place is a scam. Not only did it take us 45 mins to get inside the building but once we got in all the lights were off. Once we figured out how to get inside our room it was so hot and they had the thermostat locked so we couldn't even changed the temperature in the room. Did I mention we paid extra to have a corner room but got a middle room with cement covering the windows.

First, I will give reasoning for the 2 stars. The bed was comfortable and on 3 occasions when there was a person at the desk, he was kind and opened doors for my granddaughter and me. The rest of my stay was very negative. You have zero control over the thermostat. My room was 87degrees upon arrival and despite 3 "texts within their app" they went unanswered. The AC did begin to work after my 3rd request but no human element to it, it simply started to work. Prepare for a bare room with no drawers anywhere and no hangers. I had to go buy some. The furniture is very cheap. I'd compare to IKEA and falling apart. Next, there is nobody in the building to assist with anything. I had no clue about their app and no idea that check in keys are delivered by phone at 4pm. I was about 90 mins early so I did knock and called their phone and nothing. Next there is the threat of a $250 charge for making noise. While we were early to bed and early to rise (my grandson was in the children's hospital down the street) we did hear noise but there was no way I was filing a complaint against anyone. If the building staff isn't around to even hear noise, how can they say you should pay a fine? No maid service despite my requests in 5 days. No fresh towels either. The hotel is referred to as modern so if your goal is to sleep and never see another human, this might be your place to stay. It won't ever be mine.

One of the worst experiences ever. Where do I begin? I was there for 2 nights. The first morning somebody started LOUD music at 7 a.m. and l left at 8 just to get away from it.Then that night the person in the room next to me played the TV from 1:00 am - 3:00 am at a volume only heard in movie theaters. You cannot talk to anyone from management as (1) there is no human on site and (2) the phone calls go straight to voicemail and are not monitored and (3) there is an "emergency" text number that is also not monitored during the night.Add to this - no shampoo in dispenser, no carpet anywhere to dampen noise, torn sheets, no coffeemaker, no housekeeping, no suitcase stand. ETC. This is not "boutique"; this is just a small spartan place.I asked for a refund for one night and get $50. Shame on management.
