Hot Shot Food Store

One thing about me, I love a good corner store with a kitchen inside! Came in and was so excited after seeing all the food being made right then in there in front of your face. So yes, you will have to wait a bit. But all good things come to those who wait! When I tell you I ate EVERY single food particle in my box lol. It was made with so much love & heart and it tasted like it! The bread so buttery, burger meat seasoned to PERFECTION. Fries also crispy and seasoned so well! I will be back for sure for those big back days I have :)

Lots of options in this convenience store/restaurant (burgers, fish, fries, dessert...) plus a variety of drinks, candy, gum, chips...and the list goes on.Staff were super friendly, polite, and personable. I ordered the fish and chips which were fried to perfection. Next time, I'm coming back for a burger!

If you haven't tried Hot Shot you missing out!! When I tell you EVERYTHING on the menu BUSSIN BUSSIN, you can definitely believe it!!! Better go get you some

I was looking for a moms and pops spot and got this pops spot. Lol. Mr Sam has one of the best burger in town. Cooks it with the intent of you enjoying it cause you can taste it in the meat/burger. His son Sam is a really cool guy. DFW should try this place out.

Firstly great prompt service as soon as I walked in. My order was taken and prepared exactly how I ordered. I ordered the double cheeseburger & fries. The burger is well seasoned and a great size. Definitely that old school straight off the flat grill flavor. Avoid Smashburger and come to this spot. Prices are good. Another note: there's a lot of varieties of drinks & brews that you can't get a mainstream convenience stores. I usually see these selections in other cities.I will definitely be back.

When I came it took quite a while for the food but it was also pretty busy at the time so I can't really complain much about the time. But I got a double cheeseburger with chili cheese fries for myself and chicken nuggets and fries for my son. The burger was greasy but so damn good. I even ended up stealing a couple of my sons nuggets from him because they were delicious. The chili cheese fries were nothing special but not bad. But we'll definitely be back again. I must say I am so glad I decided to take a chance on this place. Best burger and best nuggets I've had in the month I've been in the area. Fantastic!

Down home cooked food. Drove 30 mins for it and I'd do it time and time again! You can never go wrong with stopping here to get food!

Friendly staff and food like if you made it at home The food is made fast and fresh; not premade and stored cooked as soon as you order! I love it! I've only had the breakfast sandwich and it never misses

The double cheeseburger here is the genuine article. I was on the hunt for something like this close to my house and decided I would venture to a part of town I've never been to. I called in for 6 double cheese with no seasoning, extra onions and no seasoning on the fries. I don't like salty anything and on a burger, I feel that the cheese adds enough salt for me. When I got there, I waited a little in the car and the owner came out and motioned that my order was ready. You know, it's not Highland Park and so that was nice.The burger was greasy, the meat was good...not a fine grade but substantial, the bread was toasted on the edge how I like it, cooked in the smashed fashion, ......when I think of a burger that's similar, I would say Kincaid and Winfield's comes to mind. But I feel that this is a cut above because of the bun and the general balance of it. At home, everyone loved it....my dad, my two sons...my mom and wife avoided it in order to protect their figure. This Will indeed make you fat, no doubt. Don't eat this after the sun sets if you know what I mean. This is a caloric and cholesterol bomb. In short, it's a generous and Good burger in the traditional sense! And it's run by a Good owner! It's determinedly unhealthy. But that aside, I can say it's Highly, highly recommended.
