Hikari Sushi & Grill Japanese Restaurant

This restaurant is now my go-to place for sushi in the West Frisco area. I used to live nearby, and I've tried a lot of the other sushi options in the neighborhood. None of them compare to Hikari Sushi! Believe me, it took a while to write this review (read: months) because I put this place through a rigorous vetting process. They deserve all 5 stars, and lots of referrals.Their call-in/take out service is top notch and their third-party app service (we've used GrubHub pickup and delivery here several times) was not only courteous but accurate and well packed. My last experience, I chose to dine-in and I was blown away by the quality of food (i.e. freshness) and hospitality. Service was great, the vibe inside is nice and relaxed. There's soft pop/lofi music playing that's in-offensive and not too loud, so you can carry a conversation or even read a book while dining.I'll definitely be back to bring friends and family because I trust that they can consistently deliver. They have a little bit of everything to suit all palettes which is what matters the most. I came here for sushi and miso. That's it. No bento. No bulgogi. And it was absolutely delicious. I was impressed with the quality and preparation of the yellowtail, unagi, and white tuna. I was also really into the soothing atmosphere and the classic jazz. I'm coming back here with my bestie when it's cooler because she's always searching for good sushi and a dog patio, which this place also has.

I ordered grub hub delivery of teriyaki beef, shrimp and veggie tempura and Miso soup.The tempura was nice and crispy, even after delivery. Needed a bigger container of sauceThe teriyaki looked delicious but had zeroFlavor. So disappointed.The serving of rice was good size and decent rice.

Great location! Corner or Main and DNT in an open strip area, with plenty of ourside parking! Was seated right away and quick service! Fish tasted fresh and sauce was awesome! Will definately come back again! If you havent tried this place, what are you waiting for?

Amazing food what can I say, perfect taste. It was my birthday last week and my daughter ordered and had it delivered, and I was so happy.Other than the fried rice, everything was finished in round one.

I just ate the BEST CRAB RANGOONS of my entire life!!!! Historically, I have been known to consume crab rangoons in a way that is concerning to both my blood sugar and cholesterol so I would consider myself a connoisseur. I cannot understate the impact that these crab rangoons have had on my life! My skin has cleared, my cancer has been cured, and my depression has VANISHED!! Service was also lovely and the place is decorated super cute. Would def recommend

Love the different types of rolls they have. I tried there mango roll. Was sweet... but very fresh and with no asparagus just cucumber. They will adjust rolls to your liking although I don't personally have an issue with much. Used to come here about 12 years ago and it's still just the same. Will be returning. Thank you!!

We tried this place for their lunch special and it was fantastic. Service was great, the food was so good. I got the miso soup, fried rice, cowboy roll, and shrimp tempura roll. Perfect portions and the food was fresh and so delicious. We will definitely be coming back here.

Sushi was excellent! Service was not. I asked our waitress if they still offered the All You Can Eat sushi menu and she argued that they never offered AYCE. I said yes you did, and she said I've worked here 5 years and we've never offered AYCE. I said, yes you did, because we have been here a couple of times before and had AYCE, guess I am confused. She never came back to our table. A young man came and took our order and we ordered 12 different rolls, sweet chili edamame and seaweed salad, food was excellent. When our bill came the rude waitress showed up and was happy to automatically add a 20% tip to our bill on a party of 5. Refilled our water glasses once, never checked on us. I wouldn't have given a 20% tip and I certainly wouldn't have given any tip to her. The young waiter should get the whole tip. The restaurant was not crowded either.

This place has amazing lunch specials, and I love their spicy tuna roll I wish they still offered the three roll special at lunch but i generally get the spicy tuna salad
