WOW! How did we miss this place? Been visiting a few quality places in the area, but never noticed this gem. Country Store meets NYC Deli. Some great pasta, preserves, and jarred goods. Outstanding service and hospitality. The sandwiches top notch. Worth the stop and another!

I am cheating here a little bit because I didn't actually go. This place is down the street from my job and my girlfriend picked it up for me.I asked her for a club sandwich just plain as it comes. She ended up getting me the gluten-free bread because the lady there said it was great and she's also gluten-free. I must say the bread is pretty good the usual sort of dry gluten-free but with the ingredients on the sandwich, it was pretty tasty. She also grabbed me some tomato basil soup, which was phenomenal. It had little chunks of maybe onion and tomato. Of course it was nice and warm and filled to the top. This place is right by my job so I will be ordering from here again. Probably not my girlfriend picking up. She works all over the place so you never know when she's in the area to do me a little favor. She is quite amazing. I must say.

In town for business. Ordered through Uber Eats, which was my first problem. But, this is a food review, not Uber bashing (though they need it). Ordered two sandwiches, one for lunch, the other for dinner. First, was the chicken salad sandwich. It came with fries. The sandwich was somewhat lackluster, nearly tasteless. The pecans in the mix were a surprise, but apparently, some people put pecans in their chicken salad. Okay.... Not me. At any rate, it was filling but not fulfilling. But, it's chicken. How much can I expect from chicken. So.... On to dinner. I ordered the cheesesteak sub with no peppers. Interestingly, as requested, they omitted the peppers (thank you). However, they also omitted cheese. So, the cheesesteak sandwich was a steak and onion sandwich. So, while I can't rate the actual cheesesteak sandwich, I can rate the failure to pay attention to detail and the dissatisfaction of a crappy sandwich. It could easily be compared to a gas station sandwich. On the upside, I also ordered the three chocolate chip cookies. They were very good. Soft and full of chocolate chips. Unsure if they were made at the restaurant or purchased and resold as. So, instead of one star, the cookies brought it to two. Short story, go somewhere else for deli. Not sure if you'd get what you expect here.

I ordered takeout from here and got a Rachel sandwich as well as an order of their baked potato potato salad, and seven layer bar. the sandwich and potato salt were excellent. They were well packaged and portion sizes great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I wasn't aware of this was Roanoke until I was looking for a place to grab a quick sandwich and I will be returning. It's lovely.

What a great Italian deli in Roanoke! This is my new go-to stop for baked goods and subs. They have a ton of seating both indoor and outdoor. The shop is very family friendly and the employees are super friendly. I always order the chicken cheesesteak sub and it never disappoints. The rolls are airy and delicious. They can make and sandwich a bowl which is pretty great if you're carb conscious.

I was craving a rueben so we searched yelp and were close by we decided to give it a go.Roanoke is in a forever state of change especially at the 377 side but the old town & small town vibe is huge in this little market deli.The lady who helped us was friendly, really a homey feel about the place.I had the rueben w/classic potato salad, Diana had the wet Italian beef w/same side.My Rueben was perfect the crispy buttered rye , swiss cheese melted unto the corn beef and the dressing with sauerkraut was a savory delight a simple pleasure done right.Diana's Italian beef was good unfortunately to many Jalapeños so she pulled them off too spicy. Potato salad was good and fresh.We go this way quite often so I will definitely be checking more down the road.

Nice deli in downtown Roanoke, had no clue it was there! Has a general store vibe when you walk in, as there are shelves of canned foods (jellies, veggies, wine, baked goods) and coolers with various drinks in them.We were greeted and helped with the menu options, selecting a muffalata and 2 breakfast tacos. Seating is nice, options inside and out, and pricing was fair for our selections. Food was delivered and you could tell it was made fresh because it was hot...like really hot.Tacos were excellent, wife said the muffalata was good and the bread was fresh. Perfect. We'll definitely be back to try the cheesesteaks next time!

This addition to Old Town Roanoke brings some of the better sandwiches I've had in the DFW area. Service was friendly, but felt very green at the time I visited. I'm chalking it up to the lack of familiarity with the offerings at the deli with the person taking my order or them still learning, at the very least I hope that was the situation. Reuben Sandwich - This place has one of the better reuben sandwiches I've ever had. The meat had excellent flavor and they didn't drench it in too much sauce and sauerkraut. It was well balanced and the bread had a good chew to it.Italian Beef Sandwich - This sandwich tasted great and the side of drippings was fantastic. The bread itself appeared to be dipped in the same drippings, which gave the sandwich a warmer deliciously soggier consistency to the sandwich... this was a good thing. It was spicier than I anticipated, good, but a surprise. Overall, this shop offers some great food. The drawback is that it seems to be priced higher than it should be in the area and for the amount of food. 2 sandwiches, fountain drinks, and 2 kids meals set us back about $60 after tip. The kids meals were also incomplete when we received the order. They had forgotten to include the side of apple sauce. Kid's servings didn't seem very substantial given the cost. Given the price of the sandwiches, where you could get a full meal at a Chili's or other sit down restaurant, it would've been nice to have chips or some side included with the price of the sandwich.

Found this place today for the first time, even though we live just 10 minutes away.My wife had the chef's salad. Really fresh with lots of meat and cheese; excellent 1000 Island dressing. For me, there were many sammies that sounded wonderful. I opted for the muffaletta. It was VERY GOOD! In the three years we've lived around here, the best non- chain sandwich shop I've found is Weinberger's in Grapevine. I'd put these folks right up there after one meal. Can't wait to try more!! Keep up the great work!

I cannot say enough good things about this place. If you want great food, wonderful ambience, and to feel like you're at home surrounded by family... this is your new spot! It's quite a bit of a drive for us, but totally worth it! Bonnie was absolutely AMAZING. I brought my 2.5 year old kiddo and he LOVED IT! Bonnie was so welcoming and my little one ADORED her! They also have a bunch of canned goods and pasta. I got some pickled eggs for the hubby and some pasta for myself, maybe I'll share.
