Hawkins Tasty Food On The Move

You know how some people have to have a CPAP machine to sleep or they will die? Hawkins Tasty Food is a little like that for me. Only less snoring is involved. Also, I may not actually die - but what sort of life would it be? They are a small business in a strip mall thing there next to the access road, they serve hamburgers and Philly cheese-steaks and such. "Amazing" is the first word that comes to mind. The place is smallish, there is a counter for ordering to-go orders and seating for people who want to dine in. Parking is adequate.I had the burger today so I will talk about that. Specifically, I had the single patty cheeseburger(with fries)!It is absolutely delicious. The bun is buttered, the meat has a fantastic char on it. The veggies are fresh and the fries are hot. It is a serious hamburger. I might get emotional just thinking about it. Really, the only downside to Hawkin's food is that you cannot eat it every day.

First visit for me and I'm a fan of Hawkins. I got the double hamburger combo, mustard and no tomato with onion rings and a Coca-cola.The burger was a hot mess and that's a good thing. The patties have a nice crust, and I also like that they toast all four sides of the buns. Crunch on crunch goodness! The onion rings are not too thick or thin, have a nicely seasoned batter, and since they are freshly made, you can really taste the onion! Now that's an onion ring. I'll be back as many times as it takes to try everything on the menu.

When you want some comfort food with lots of flavor this is the spot. The owners always seem to be busy working. They definitely care about their business. I think it's the owners. My girlfriend met them awhile back and actually talked with them. I'm lazy and have only picked up food. So either way someone is always busy. Hehe The Food... well... when I don't care about low carb or gluten free I love this place. When I do care, I still love this place. It's not the same but you can get a cheesesteak without bread. Of course those amazing onion rings would be out of the question but... I won't lie... even when I'm trying to be low carb or GF I will steal a couple onion rings from my gf. The flavor on them is irresistible. I can't even explain other than it's made with love and go try them. Better than an onion blossom! Just go try it and read their story.

Ordering from their takeout this last time, my husband got a burger with onion rings and I got fried shrimp and the batter came off the shrimp and the onion rings. They did not hear to any of the product, but the flavors were just phenomenal. I can't wait to eat here again.

I wish I could give this place 0 starts. Service ABSOLUTELY KILLED Valentines Day!! My very 1st time visiting this place, although I have lived within 2 miles of their location for almost 3 years. My order was taken incorrectly, so upon remake, kitchen staff argued with waiting staff. This meant that my wife's order (which had to be remade) was hot when the rest of my 125 dollar order was cold. Upon getting home our Valentines Day dinner was ruined, where my wife and I argued!! Also, the lids and drink carrier provided, both FAILED and I ended up cleaning spilled soda from all over the floorbloards of my vehicle!! I ended up giving my cold food to one of my nieces. What a fuckin' shit show!!!

This family-owned biz is a great stop for lunch or a casual dinner. We were in town to visit an area business and hit Hawkins based on other Yelp reviews -- good choice! As others have mentioned, this is comfort food, not light plates. Both the beef and chicken cheesesteaks were fresh and fantastic, with good bread encasing all the great filling (Whiz fanatics will be disappointed, however). Fries were also delish. Burgers looked really good as well, but we didn't partake on this visit. Friendly service as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Wings were fireee! Staff was so nice and the shrimp poboy was so good. Great prices. The spicy garlic wings coulda been more spicy lol nevertheless everything was bomb! Can't wait to come back!

Tried this restaurant because a friend said they had great onion rings. They didn't disappoint. But I get ahead of myself. Having opened just 4 months ago, the interior is clean and new. We were greeted promptly and warmly. When we said it was our first time, a patron told us we would love it, as he wolfed down his cheese steak sandwich. The menu looks small and limited but has quite a variety of options. We ordered the Half Philly/Wings combo and the Cheeseburger combo, both with onion rings as the side. Combos come with a bottle drink from the refrigerator case. We were told they will have an actual fountain machine by the end of this month. They are also BYOB if you are so inclined. The Half Philly was delicious. It was my first cheese steak sandwich so can't compare it to anything. The bread was grilled and had a buttery crunch. The meat, cheese, and veggies blended well. So, I would order it again. The wings were plump and moist. Asian zing sauce could have had more zing for me but just a personal preference. Hubby loved his cheeseburger though he ordered it without cheese. Again they grilled the bun and ingredients were fresh and full of flavor. Now, the onion rings. They were delicious. Crunchy batter, not too thick. With a decent size onion ring. These are not onion strings. The cooked onion rings are lightly sprinkled with a salt and other seasonings mixture. It was just right. We will be back to try other selections, but will always get the onion rings. I recommend you give this new restaurant a try.

Starting off, the people are so nice here i always feel welcomed when entering the restaurant. Absolutely obsessed with their wings and philly cheesesteak, i can't get over them this are the only two things i've gotten from here. also highly recommend ordering their onion rings KILLER! and they're ranch is delicious you can tell they made it there. i crave this place WEEKLY. i'm not even trying to hype them up like that this is just the truth. so worth your money. i work very close so i don't typically eat at the restaurant i always get it to go. but the place itself is very spacious and clean. hawkins is amazing. pictures are all from different days, shows that they put in the same work for every dish whether it's a Monday or a Friday!!

Food is amazing and delicious the service is extremely good Definitely recommend this place
