Sometimes the little hole in the wall type places will surprise and delight you with spectacular food that contradicts its modest surroundings. There are even whole TV shows dedicated to this subject. Other times its all a perfect match. We came here in hopes of stumbling upon one of those hidden gems, but I doubt Guy Fieri will be popping in for a visit anytime soon as Harvest Chinese falls squarely into the latter category.Entrees come with either white or fried rice and an egg roll. This saved us the trouble and cost of ordering egg rolls as appetizers and sides of rice since many places don't automatically provide those. So, that was a big plus.We still wanted additional appetizers so we got Fried Cream Cheese Wontons, and both the Fried and Steamed Meat Dumplings. While these were all passable, the most memorable thing about the appetizers was the dipping sauce for the dumplings. It unexpectedly had a great flavor despite a watery consistency. As far as entrees, not surprisingly they too were passable but lacking in bold flavors. I'm specifically talking about the General Cho's Spicy Chicken, Sesame Chicken (which is basically the same dish but with sesame seeds and less heat) and Chicken Lo Mein. It seemed like someone hastily threw all of these together, forgetting some seasonings in the process. The exception and highlight of the meal was the Volcanic Three. This outstanding dish was spicy and so scrumptious. If everything else was as delicious as this then Guy Fieri might just show up!Fortunately the prices here are budget friendly and the portions are very generous. Even the kids meal was huge. We had enough leftovers for a couple more meals the next day. The food might not have been particularly impressive but our server was. She checked on us often, kept our drinks topped up, and engaged in some friendly chichat while delivering our food. I got the impression that she was the manager or owner of the place. She was so nice that I'd consider going back just to pay her a visit.

Service was great. The Mongolian beef (added jalapenos) was good just a little on the salty side..

Solid fast casual authentic Chinese food. Nothing fancy, but sometimes that's the best way. You get a lot for your money, always hot and delicious. I live too far away to get delivery, but I stop by when I'm in the area for a good meal.

I ordered delivery directly from the restaurant. The woman taking my order was incredibly polite, and then delivered the food herself. Very impressive how they take ownership of their food and not let anyone else deliver for them. The food was incredibly fresh! I ordered the Happy Family (wow!) and then the General Tso chicken. They included egg rolls and piping hot fresh white rice. I do recommend this restaurant. Thank you for my very happy and full belly!

I have lived in Lewisville for over 35 years and have drove past Harvest Chinese Restaurant for years. I have never gone to Harvest Chinese Restaurant and on Feburary 8 2020 I decided to give them a try.I ordered Orange Chicken with fried rice and Szechuan Beef with fried rice. Plus an order of Crab rangoons. The meals also came with egg rolls.I was really looking forward to have some good authentic made Chinese food. Unfortunately I was seriously let down by my order.I have eaten Szechuan beef for years from different restaurants throughout the United States and am highly aware the peppers in this dish can be spicy but that's what makes the dish so flavorful. Unfortunately the Szechuan beef that I ordered from Harvest Chinese Restaurant had no peppers or even the spicy flavor in this dish. I was extremely disappointed as one could expect. The orange chicken was ok but the flavor was bland and not enough sauce to cover the dish.I normally never give a one star but due to all the above issues it was hard not to.I really hope the owners of Harvest Chinese Restaurant see this review because they have been in Lewisville for over 30 years but I truly believe the kitchen staff may need to check the orders to make sure they are properly made. I love Chinese food and would consider to give Harvest Chinese Restaurant another chance if they would be willing to address this issue.

I knew there was always a Chinese restaurant in Lewisville but this place is not easily visible from the road. It is located in a strip mall facing west... a typical hole in the wall restaurant. As I arrived before the dinner crowd, there was only one table seated with diners. The sole hostess/cashier/waitress was taking a phone order, so I had time to view the menu while I waited. I decided on the Szechuan Beef and Hot & Sour Soup. The egg roll was decent. The soup had a distinct oily taste. The Szechuan Beef was okay with plenty of carrots to satisfy a carnivorous rabbit.Unfortunately, I have had much better so I doubt I will return.

Absolutely Bland crap food. I ordered the shrimp fried rice, it came with chicken instead of shrimp. Also, it didn't even come with peas and carrots. Just overcooked Rice, and Eggs. How do you overcook scrambled eggs? Manager did not want to refund my money or take accountability for the order. Only thing professional about this place was the delivery driver. Will never order here again.

I was nervous to go here at first because of the low reviews. We ate dine in and had a great experience. It was very quiet which was nice. The service was very quick and the woman was very nice and attentive. We were there maybe 30 minutes and had a full amazing meal. We ordered orange chicken, steamed meat dumplings, shrimp fried rice, and crab/cream cheese rangoons. The meals also came with complementary egg rolls which were very good. All the food was hot and fresh. The orange chicken wasn't the usual fried kind, but it was still good and had spice. Everything was absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend giving them a shot with their dine in service. The prices were very reasonable compared to other places.
