Tasty japanese food and great service at the hibachi table. I ordered ribey with fried rice, and it was cooked to perfection. The cook was skillful and very friendly, so it was entertaining to follow the show. Sunday early afyernoon was peaceful - the place was almost empty - but there is plenty of room for serving various parties either in hibachi room or other side. Decent prices for such a high quality menus and special experience. I would definitely come back.

Decided to order in tonight for the Mavs game. I went with the trio Hibachi(NY strip steak, shimp,chicken). Meal also included rice, veggies, miso soup and salad. Good portion size that will usually last me 2 meals. A lot of complaints of being expensive, but this was $33 and lasts 2 meals. I consider that a slam dunk! Hanaya always comes in clutch! Go Mavs!Update, actually 3 meals! Game Winner!

2 out of the last 3 years our service has been absolutely horrible. What kind of restaurant would take reservations a month in advance and have the chaos that iv witnessed year after year is beyond me. A 630 reservation pushed to 6:40 and then were given the option to sit dine in instead with our party of 8. Again scheduled a month in advance. And the second year in a row, all I can say is get it get it together and plan your reservations better. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that restaurants will be busier and people will eat for longer over the holidays. For the price we will not ever be back. Stick to Asahi

We chose Hanaya for our Christmas Eve dinner reservations. We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a long time and Christmas Eve seemed like the perfect celebration to do so. Unfortunately, we were very underwhelmed.Our waitress was the highlight of our experience. She was very attentive and on point. She gets five stars. Our hibachi chef was good as well - very entertaining presentation with a couple new tricks we haven't seen before. However, the food was average at best. We only had hibachi, so maybe the sushi is better? I had the hibachi tofu, and it was simply not good. I realize tofu is probably not an entrée that many people choose, but it was extremely gritty and difficult to eat. My husband said his shrimp and chicken were okay.Behind the festive Christmas lights, and the restaurant itself seemed to need some interior refreshing. I also have mixed feelings on the large screen TVs that are over the hibachi tables. While it was nice to keep an eye on the Cowboys game, most folks don't choose a hibachi restaurant as their football watching destination.The whole experience felt rushed. I understand that it was Christmas Eve and perhaps on a different evening we would have not felt like our dining experience was a race to the finish, but that is unacceptable at this price point. We were not offered a dessert menu or coffee, and I found myself gulping down what was remaining of the single class of wine I had as the staff was prepping the table for the next party.

The host & hostess are hard to understand. They are very nice & accommodating, however the language barrier makes it very difficult to communicate regarding dishes & how it's prepped?!... Luckily my wife & I dealt with language barrier & got thru it. However, if there's are choices we're not sure specially if it's the first time you're dining there; it's best to have staff that are bi-lingual & can explain to new customers what to expect. The hostess/ waitress was just gesturing & not clearly stating what we needed to know?! The overall experience was good, good came as prepared, service was satisfactory & prices was about market rate. Pls take this as a constructive critique bc it's important either questions or choices can he comprehended especially by customers bc it's very important! TY

Food quality poor. Prices high. Service practically non-existent. The restroom appears to be unsanitary. Can only imagine what their cleanliness standards are in the kitchen where they prepare food. With the number of great Asian food places in the area, how do they stay in business?

I placed an order for an order of Louisiana rolls. The lady on the phone told me a 20 minute wait, i then come 30 minutes after placing the order to be told they needed an additional 10 minutes. 40 minutes for one order of sushi is RIDICULOUS! If you need your time respected this isn't the place to go.

Nope. Never going back. I'm sure the cook is a nice guy, but he dies not like his job. I understand, because he's an older man, that seemed to not care much. While cooking, food would fall into the drain offset of the pan, and pick it out & serve it. Whiskey drinks tasted like juice, way too sweet or watered down Etc..... make your own choice. But myself, is a hard no!

I went here with my sister and her family while visiting from out of town. They eat here once in a while because her picky teenage girls really like it and the hibachi experience is always fun. Prices were reasonable and varied depending on type and quantity of proteins. I got the shrimp and scallops since I don't often have those at home. One could get streamed or fried rice (everyone at our table opted for fried) and there was a good selection of veggies including broccoli, zucchini, mushrooms, green pepper, and onions. Our chef was personable and made a few jokes while doing the grilling. Meals came with a soup and salad.

We got a variety of great options this evening:Wonton soup Tuna sashimiCalifornia rollManhattan rollRock and roll All great flavors and it was a good amount of food; I wasn't sure we would finish it all but we rallied.Not too busy on a Friday night. Service very good, almost too attentive. Sorry, no pics. I meant to and completely forgot. Next time! We have been here a few times and will definitely be back.
