Halls Honey Fried Chicken

Our dinner was hot, fresh, well-seasoned and DELICIOUS! I ordered a 3pc and hubby got chicken and waffles. They served us nice sized pieces of chicken and mine came with pickles, jalapeños, fried and bread. YUUUUUUM! The staff was very friendly and the place is immaculately clean. Hall's faces I-35 but it's in between 35 and Broadway. Please give this place a try! The food itself is worth the drive even if you don't live real close. They need more evening business so go check it out! We want them to stay in business....

Come for the chicken. Now. Absolutely amazing, with nice crispy crust, and moist and juicy inside. The family meal comes with chicken, bread, pickles, peppers, and fries. The fries are a bit on the limp side, but that's okay. Remember, you're coming there for the chicken. We've been twice now, and probably will go back tonight! I like to order extra, for the next day leftover chicken experience. I just pretend I'm at a picnic.Come for the chicken. Do it quickly.

This place is a place you could sit in without eating anything and feeling as if you were at your 55 year old Uncles house listening to his personal playlist of dance music!! Good dance music.... Now to the food experience,I got an order for there as well as an order to go. The chicken was fried to perfection and very crispy! The ambience was cool,lots of historical photos on the walls and clean. The only thing preventing a 5 star revue is they were a bit stingy with the sauces and the personalities of the 2 workers was a bit dry. I'm also used to free range,grass fed chicken and that makes it difficult to give 5 stars.

Food was really good but you might want to bring your own knife to cut your waffles they only have forks and no to go containers. They gave me a paper bag for my to go items. Drink area was a little smelly ~ needs a deep cleaning but the rest of the restaurant was very clean and counter area.

Update to my last review.My 2nd visit was just as good as the 1stReally cannot add anything new beyond telling you to support this business.

Been there twice now, and and just signed up for their VIP Rewards.If you like great fried chicken you owe it to yourself to try Hall's.

This rating could be higher, but every other time i visit they give me the wrong sauce. It's like a running joke now.. i did have a higher rating.. but i drove from work straight to this place and it when i finally got home and seen the wrong sauce the disappointment set in. I want to give a half star. The food is good though

Heard they were in Carrollton. Looked them up and went over to them. Spoke with Jacoby and young lady at the front while I wait d on my order. Staff was nice and ready to help. Ordered 10 piece and was good. Going back to try other items on the menu.

The food was very tasty. The chicken reminds of the days of Bernard's 2, and Studio 67! Love the waffle.The service is very friendly. The atmosphere and seating is very 21st century with an intimate seating arrangement.Props to Hall's Chicken of Carrollton!

This is some seriously tasty fried chicken. We ordered a 5pc dark meat with all thighs, a single tender, and a single hot link (just to try out all the things we could).The fried chicken is extra salty and a bit greasier than other chicken places. Definitely more grease than Golden Chick and more spice than KFC. It's a mess to eat but the flavor can't be beat.The chicken tender was nothing to write home about, but the hot link was quite good. If you just want a basket of hot links for a meal, they have that as an option and that sounds pretty tasty.All the orders come with bread, pickles, and jalapenos heaped on top. Main dish orders also come with fries, and these aren't just any fries, they are old McDonalds-style soggy fries. That's a pretty rare find these days.This location is quite difficult to get to. If you aren't coming from the northbound I-35 service road (which doesn't connect to Luna road) then the only way in is through the back down Broadway St and the entrance is not well marked. Look for Donald Avenue on the east side of the road and then turn west.
