For most part, nice area with the family. Our most recent visit..PROS-Playground was pretty cool. Has a couple of spring riders that you don't find everywhere these days.CONS-There were some probably 8-13yr olds there just cussing like nobody's business. I don't need my kids hearing that. From the looks of it, they didn't have parents with them.-Around the railway museum, I believe there was a Jewish group there pushing tracks and sharing their culture (dancing, music, etc). That's great but I don't need it blocking our enjoyment of the railway museum. Their presence there made us feel rushed to check out the railway museum from outside which was one of the main reasons we visited. This isn't a knock at what they believe, but just their methodology.

Back for Texas Forever Fest, sponsored by H-E-B, on Saturday, March 25 2023. Go to website for details. Lots of stuff to do and eat. I posted many new photos of lots lots of people; friends and families having a good time. Weather was perfect. BTW: finding a parking spot required a lot of driving around so don't tell anyone to check out the east side of city hall fronting K Ave.

This is a cute little park next to the train tracks. There is something for everyone, including a huge parking lot that is often used by those going to downtown. It is also next to a train museum and there is a train car adjacent to the park. We came on a Sunday evening. There is a large playground with toys for all ages. There are several large grass areas for picnics or just lounging about. Additionally, there is a lake with a cute bridge crossing and a gazebo. Some of the folks that hang out at the park are sketchy though, which brings it down 2 stars. Maybe the crowd is different at different times of the week who knows.

Watch out for dog poop, my son had stepped in some poop that someone didn't pick up. There was a few homeless people in the area, but they didn't bother us. Other than that the park was nice. There's a nice historic train there, and play area for the kids. The park wasn't too pack around 7ish.

Highly recommend and love the place. They organize annual Plano international festival and glad we stopped by this year. Lot of life..Good life and energy. This is a no miss event for all those loving energy. Plano has been awesome with its diversity and friendly people. After staying 10 years in sanfrancisco moved to plano,tx with all my apprehensions. I now regret not moving here long long ago.. Texans rock, they r friendly ,caring and BIG heart. You could c all of it international festival. They also organize health camps giving FREE health tests(Diabetes/tooth/eye...) , FLU short for kids and elders. Lots of food trucks definitely make your trip even longer :) Thanks Haggard park n Plano.

PLANO, TX: This is a pretty good park, lots of parking, right next to shopping, and it's big. For the location, access and proximity there is little left to be desired for a regular suburban city park.

Yay! I like it. It's near all the cute downtown Plano stuff, so you could easily have some eats and walk over to entertain the kids later. There are two play areas, one for the older kids and one for the smaller. There are several picnic tables and benches. We brought food and had a picnic while the boy played. Cheap outside fun :)
