Grumps Burgers

Best burgers in the area. Only thing is you try to eat in a good atmosphere and they yell the names out for orders walking around yelling names. Get some numbers Grump's! Let people eat in peace.

I was torn between a 3 and 4 on this restaurant, and probably having a very late hangry lunch made me rate on a lower scale. It just means that I will have to return and try when I'm not 3 hours late for a meal:)My daughter recently moved to Stephenville and this was our first visit to see her. Looking in Yelp, this place had a very good rating, so we were off. A benefit of living in a small town is that everything is nearby. I think it took all of 10 minutes to get to it.Driving up, the parking lot was completely filled, and folks were parking in a gravel lot back behind the business. We did the same thing and then walked to the entrance.Never having been to the restaurant, it took a while to see what to order. The young lady behind the counter was nice and did not hurry us along. We made up our minds, placed our orders, and then looked for a place to sit. Due to the large crowd, seating was limited, but we found a table near the entrance.Since they make everything fresh, it took about 20-25 minutes for our food to arrive. Our server placed everything on the table, asked if we needed anything else, and left.Our food was hot and just as we ordered. The sides were a little underwhelming and quantity was small. However, our burgers were great and were seasoned perfectly.Will I return? I will, but it will be after we try some other new (for us) places.

It's a damn good burger. No machined patties here, fresh great tasting beef in a hand formed patty. A fun atmosphere, cool decorations and a casual comfortable dining experience. Do go, no regrets. You'll dig it.

First time trying this location. Just moved to the area and has been recommended by several of our friends. Honestly I haven't been a Grumps fan in the past. I've tried Granbury, Cleburne and Burleson and had no intentions of eating at another Grumps in my life. . All those experiences have been below average to down right horrible. To my surprise Stephenville location was excellent. Fast and friendly service, burgers hot and tasty, fries were crisp and hot. Prices were very fair and they have beer on tap, some bottles, margs and more. I'll be back and I can't believe I'm saying this and I'm surprised I gave them one more chance. Stephenville doesn't have alot to offer so I gave em a try glad I did.

We come here once a year for a family reunion and meet up at Grump's the night before. The burgers are great, the beer is cold, and we get good service. They make to order, so you want a little bit (not too bad, though) so we have time to talk and laugh a while! Highly recommended!

Me and my mom were going to chick fil a but wanted to try something new so we found grumps, we then ordered burgers and fries and beverages because they were the top tier foods the service was very fine and good to go! The ambiance was calm, and nobody was shouting. So I tried the doctor pepper which was very great! We then waited and talked about our farm being greeted with our order, and the fries were very delicious with the salt going perfectly in the ketchup, and the burger was the best I ever had Ever! We agreed we found our new lunch spot for the go.

The burger was delicious. The girl at the counter /cash register was very helpful. Cute decor. Blue bell ice cream for the littles. I recommend it and I will definitely be back.

The burgers are really good! I had the cheeseburger. We split fries and fried pickle slices. The fries were pretty good, but the fried pickle slices were way too salty. The line was pretty long, but it moved fast.

Stopped in for a late lunch on Tuesday July 25th around 1:20. Ambience is pretty cool old burger joint vibe. Lots of signs and TX history. Stepped up to the counter and ordered our burgers: queso and BBQ bacon without a bun in a bowl plus spicy fries that we shared. Also had Shiner, wife had a margarita. Found a table and watched some baseball on one of the three TVs. Food came out within 15 minutes. They advertise they aren't a fast food joint and that is okay. They serve a great burger. Both burgers were medium well. Bill came to $28.

Was looking for a place to eat and ran across this gem... probably hands down one of the best burgers I've ate in a really long time. Staff was great and friendly, they made you feel like you were at home. Waitress was fantastic and asked if we were interested in trying their very own jalapeño ketchup and glass she asked because it was amazing, not to hot but just right to make you sweat a little... price was fantastic and cheaper than any fast food place, hand made meat patties and the fries were freaky good as well... they offer alot more than burgers, stop in and check them out you will not be disappointed...
