Granbury Theatre Company

We were visiting the area for the solar eclipse and decided to add in a show while we were there. We were excited to see there was a local theater company and it would take place in a beautiful and historic building. We loved the show and the venue and everything about the experience. Very high caliber of performance. Staff and ushers were friendly and helpful and it was just a perfect experience all around.

What an amazing experience. My wife and I were celebrating our 32nd anniversary and decided to head to Granbury for dinner and take in a musical at the Opera Hose. We saw "Always Patsy Cline!" What an incredible production. It was all first rate. Community theater is always so much fun. The Opera House is so beautiful and historic. We can't wait to head to Granbury and take in another show.

We just attended Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap. First time there. Fabulous venue. Good performance. Very happy.

If you haven't seen a production with this group, you are missing out! We leave each show amazed. From the children's productions, to the extremely talented teens, and of course the season shows. The acting, choreography, and music is of a professional quality. The shows here instantly instantly capture your attention! The seating is comfortable and there is really no bad seat in the house. Don't miss the next production!

Such an outstanding theatre company. We've attended several productions and have been impressed each time.

My wife and I have been going to see plays here for years. Yesterday, I, my wife and other friends with their young daughter went to see the matinee showing of Annie. Needless to say, I was shocked by the "Damn" word bring used so frequently in this supposedly kid oriented show. I am very disappointed in the Granbury Opera House group even allowing this word at all in the dialogue, especially knowing that parents would bring their kids to watch. I hope this is not going to be the norm at #granburyoperahouse #granbury #granburytheater.

Top notch production of Nine to Five a few months ago. Loved it. Professional cast.

Hit or Miss (like really Miss): Our family attended the production of Fiddler on the Roof in November (2021) and had a great time. The production was great, the theatre is a nicely restored opera house and great venue for regional talent set on a great old town square.....but the production of Elf in December was so bad we couldn't make it to the end. Different cast than before, no real anchor actor/actresses that stood out to carry the show. The version of the musical was boring, with no original comedy or funny parts...it was just a poorly written and executed version of the movie. So sad to discover the inconsistency of this theatre house as I can no longer just trust to come back and enjoy ourselves.I suggest this theatre break out and do something more original with a new cast. Try a British based Christmas Panto with some genuine/original laugh material.We left early and will be cautious to return.

The building and staff are great. The renovation was a glowing success. However, the TUNA performance was lousy and offensive. Sitting there in an all white theater hearing the racial slurs was beyond uncomfortable.

Amazing experience here! I brought my mother and mother in law for patsy Cline and they had the time of their lives. It was so well done. The theater is beautiful and the staff are amazing!
