Golden China

I miss the old Golden China in the old space. We hadn't gone for years and stopped by the new place and picked up takeout recently. It was NOT good! Plus they left out the rice that went with my entree. Never going back again. TERRIBLE FOOD.

I started ordering from this place through DoorDash and the food always fresh and hot! I had to go in and eat in the restaurant to see how it holds up in person. Turns out it's even better! Rangoons so crispy and sweet, BBQ Ribs are super saucy and tender, sesame chicken was lightly crunchy on the outside and filled with chicken on the inside. The people serving us were sweet and kind. The vine and ambience was super chill and calm. Love this place and hope this business keeps booming!!!!

We order Uber eats for lunch. Food was good and clean. Big portions and good prices.

Ordered because it used to be my favorite, and I was in town visiting my parents, and it was a huge let down. Ordered the house special chicken, and I didn't even recognize it. It was blah except for the bean sprouts that were so bitter it was inedible. Massively disappointed and now just hungry cuz I'm not eating this mess.

We were seated, along with only one other table seated. We went to order the chef special sizzling combination after asking a few questions about the menu. We took a minute to decide, when the waiter came back he said no sizzling dishes as the kitchen is too busy with to go orders. We were seated by the door and only saw 2 go out. I had the wonton soup. It's likely the worst soup I've ever had. The broth was water with a few green onions floating on it with one of the smallest wontons I ever had. My husband got the sizzling rice soup (that was ok to order I guess). Same broth, a few shrimp and a couple tiny shrimp and a few pieces of chicken. The rice did not sizzle, likely ever. The kids sweet and sour chicken was ok. But not finished by the 11 year old. It was super greasy. We will not be going back.

Although short handed the service was super friendly and quick. The food was good and the prices are excellent. We ordered the dinners that include soup, spring roll and wrapped chicken. Everything was delicious with enough food to share. They do not short you on the meat in their dishes which we appreciate. We will go to Golden China again!

Have not eaten here in a number of years but stopped by for an early lunch. There were only 3 tables being served a handful of carry out orders.. The menu is a mix of Cantonese and Szechuan plates. There is a $9.99 lunch menu.The kitchen accepted diet restrictions. The ingredients were fresh. We had shrimp lo mein, wonton soup, garlic chicken and hot-sour soup. Other than a bit too much sauce., The meal was tasty and good.

I ordered vegetable fried rice. It was OK. The portion was smaller and the price was higher ($13) than the last time I went there but it's been a while. I would order again, but also might try somewhere else too. This entree was more oily and less fresh than I would like, but I still ate it all and would go back again. The staff was friendly.

Everything was fine, but the food! I thought this kind of Chinese food was lFor inexperienced America palate, this is acceptable! Service was good, but the food? Mediocre!

The food is fresh and great! it's challenging because they are short staffed so maybe a few things fall through the cracks. I would love to see this Southlake staple succeed!
