I really like this little market. It is located on Bedford next to Al Wadi. Now, grocery stores are kind of my jam, and I do so love a little specialty market. This one is something special. As soon as you walk in the door, on the wall to the left, you'll find its best feature. The spices! They have AMAZING spices and you can't beat their prices. Spices are expensive! They also carry my favorite tahini, which happens to be by Al Wadi. The fresh pita bread and backlava are always worth picking up.It is fun just looking around this store. What they lack in size, they make up for in products. They've filled that little store up! The people working there are always friendly and it is nice to try something different.

Giza is my go-to shop for fresh pita, real feta, and labne. The pita comes in everyday except Mondays, and I live close by, so I buy pita the day that I need it for maximum freshness. My favorite kind is made entirely with whole wheat flour, so it's healthy as well as delicious. The sheep's milk feta is creamy and sharp, and they sell mascarpone at a better price than most places. They have several brands of labne, a super-thick strained yogurt that's perfect swirled into soups or smeared on toast with jam. I also stop in for items like freekeh and chickpea flour that are harder to find or more expensive other places. They sell an assortment of sweet goods, many of which I don't recognize, but one that I love is maamoul, a buttery cookie stuffed with dried fruit or nuts. You can also choose an assortment of teas and coffees to go with your treat.Every time I come to Giza, I discover something new and delightful. My favorite surprise was finding Shatila baklava in their fridge, which comes from a nationally known bakery in southeast Michigan. They also sell whole paprika in jars, next to rows and rows of olives. There's a small produce section, and they sometimes have hard-to-find items like fresh grape leaves. They also have a few hair products and kitchen tools in stock, so people looking for specific items might want to check them out.

Decent variety of canned goods, frozen veggies, cheeses. Their fresh deli sliced roomi and basterma is excellent. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Vegetables always seem a little past prime when I go. My biggest hang up is the store is dirty with dusty shelves and grimy floors.

I love this market. Do yourself a favor and visit Giza soon. We visit regularly to buy ingredients for foul madamas and grape leaves.

Huge fan of Giza. Great local place to get Mediterranean ingredients. It has a very L.A. feel to it that it is a hole in the wall but gets the job done. This is the spot for cheap produce, yogurt and mint. You will pay 1.49 lb. For Persian cucumbers, 5.00 for a huge tub of Greek yogurt (it doesn't say Greek but it's Greek, trust.) And .99 for a huge head of mint and other fresh herbs. Best time to come is late Thursday and Friday. It is also where we buy or pita, same place that Whole foods gets their pita for half the price. Oh and the owners are so nice. I love giving my money to locals vs. corporations. Give it a try, don't be scared!

This is a small store that offers some of those regional foods you must have to get that Mediterranean taste. We found the price to be reasonable. We go occasionally to pick up something special.

This is our go-to place for the absolute best Roomy cheese in town. They have a great variety of Egyptian products that remind me of my childhood. They also sell Egyptian pastrami (basterma). Great people and great service!
