I am gonna start with the positive first, overall. I had lots of fun overall, and there was plenty of seating for everyone who came to the game. I also appreciate SMU for allowing their football stadium to be used for the first responders' bowl.Ok, now, for the opportunities, there was not nearly enough parking for everyone to park near the stadium. Additional parking was not clearly identified, so we had to keep asking people who worked there or who went to school about where we could park. We finally found a parking garage that was about 10 minutes away from the stadium walking. Once we got to the stadium. We went to 3 different gates before we got to the right gate. It would have been nice if the gates had been more clearly marked, but the staff was very helpful about getting us to the right gate eventually. Finally, I guess they did not consider how much alcohol college students drink, especially at Texas State and Rice because most of the alcohol besides beer was sold out by halftime, so that was a little disappointing.Again, overall, I had a blast, and I would definitely go to another game. But I have learned a lot of lessons for next time.

Sadly this stadium can only be given 3 stars. While it is a very nice looking stadium on a gorgeous university campus in a very upscale neighborhood it has much to be desired in the way of concessions. The lines for all concessions were over 60 minutes long. Both times someone in the party left to get items we didn't see them for an hour. Then someone tried to do mobile order and it was a catastrophe. It took even longer! When he got to the front they would only give him 2 out of the 6 adult beverages and had to walk back and forth to get all of them. Seriously this was a huge waste of time. I will give kudos that the bathroom lines weren't long and kept pretty clean. So my suggestion is this go here to enjoy the game but make sure you've eaten before hand.

Hosted a college football bowl game and ran out of beer before the end of the first quarter unless you wanted to drink Bud Light (NO THANK YOU).

Easy to find stadium. Poor parking. Security seemed very laid back and not too serious. Lots of concession stands. There were several concession stands. A 20oz bottle of water was $7. Food delivery to your seat is available. Parking is horrible at this stadium. Be prepared to park off campus and walk to the campus.

I went to the game at the stadium and it might have been the worst stadium I've been to. To buy a beer I waited over 45 minutes and it was cash only. You'd think people supported by daddy's money would only have cards to buy anything. Not only that, they have one screen and unless you have a magnifying glass or are directly next to it you won't see anything. All of the stands are bleachers so they will singe your skin if you don't maintain direct contact from 9am to 5pm. Overall, this stadium reeks of losers and low quality blow. Would not recommend unless you are into daddy's money and failure. For those that are rating this stadium a 5 star, this must be the first stadium you've ever been to. Concessions are below average and you have to embark on a quest to get beer. The environment in the crowd is so lackluster that any opposing team owns the stadium. #ponydown

Came to the First Responders Bowl at the end of the 2020 season so there were a lot of social distancing measures in place. It's hard to say what the concessions situation would be like on a normal game day but for this game it was adequate. Parking was easy to find and the stadium itself was large enough for college football but small enough to make just about every seat a good one.

Great venue for football, lacrosse, soccer, and graduation. Built in 1999, it's in good shape and is well taken care of. A manageable size to get around - no scary high upper stands like some other stadiums. There is a grassy hill in one end zone that kids can roll down. Also, after most home games, fans are allowed down on the field to congratulate the players and toss a ball around.

Great stadium that is easy to navigate and a pretty intimate setting for football games. Come out and support your Mustangs as they work towards getting things going in the right direction. Plenty of bathrooms per seat as well.

Pony up! As the home of the SMU Mustangs, Ford Stadium is an awesome place to catch a game. Ladies and guys who carry bags, there is a strict "clear bag policy" listed on the website, so be sure to check it before you try to bring any bags in and end up getting sent back to your car. There's a huge, grassy lawn in the south end zone that is perfect for kids to roll down when they start getting antsy. And the biggest draw is that they now serve BEER. Go Mustangs!

I attended the Armed Forces Bowl over the Holidays at this stadium. I have to say it was a great experience. One drawback is that parking is a cluster F***. But I'm sure that's not an issue for the typical home game as they don't typically draw well. Other than that I had a great time. Granted the weather played a part. It was an overcast, chilly day. The air was just a little moist. It was the kind of day that just says "college football" to me. Army was the opposing team, and they travel well. We sat on the Army side and their fans were great folks. From our seats I could see all of the golden cupolas of the SMU campus set against the backdrop of the beautiful neighborhood in which the University resides. The stadium itself is very attractive. And in my opinion designed in a way that highlights collegiate athletics. Not some amusement park like so many other venues have become. It is a building that fits in with the architecture of the rest of campus. Which is how it should be. It's tasteful. UNT are you listening?Still yet to experience "The Boulevard" which is where all the tailgating takes place. But after my two experiences here, I will certainly be coming to another game. An affordable sporting experience.
