Fortune Star Chinese and Thai Cuisine

Ordered takeout from here. I got the orange "chicken" with "fried" rice, egg rolls and egg drop soup. Let's start with the pros: the egg drop soup was edible after loading it up with salt and pepper to add flavor. Cons: Everything else was just awful. The egg rolls had no flavor and tasted like they came from the frozen section of Walmart. The "fried" rice looked and tasted like white rice with brown food coloring (and not good white rice). The orange "chicken" I took one bite of and immediately threw it in the trash. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't chicken - the look, texture and taste were so gross. The health department needs to inspect this place.

Good fit for DeceptionOrdered Orange chicken and sweet & sour chicken with fried rice. Large portions served... and I now know why. The pieces of chicken were really big. I bit into one and as I was chewing I realized that the texture was not right...rubbery, chewy abnormally soft for white meat chicken. So I cut another in half and had a time trying to determine chicken from the batter because it all looked the same. Except on some it looked like pork (like how pork chop meat looks) and some had pink center. Also... it reminded me of tripe, the look and the texture. It also looked like fake meat. Nonetheless, I know for a fact that this was not chicken. Could explain why it so affordable. Yes I googled it and there's a velveting process that they do to the meat to tenderize it however (the meat should still look like and taste like the white meat chicken they said it was - and it didn't). I did contact them and requested my money back which they honored. My family and I will not be returning. Reconsider this place unless you just don't care.

There is something terribly wrong with this meat and the restaurant needs to be inspected. "Chicken" smelled like fish and was discolored. Also had a very soggy and soft texture.

Food is great and they give large portions. Had one bad experience the first time I tried them, but after some time, gave them another try. Have been eating there ever since! Fast and friendly service makes it a winner to me!

First time ordering and was happy with the food. We ordered the Kung Po Shrimp very spicy and tasty and the sweet and sour chicken very good.The portions are very good, no skimping chicken dish was so large had again for lunch. definitely will order again.

Simply delicious! Chicken Pad Thai! I couldn't wait until I got home and had to sample immediately. So very tasty. I enjoy Fortune Star whenever I go,

Always out go to for quick "Chinese" take out food. They are always so nice and helpful and they have great portions

Good food...it was okay for Chinese food, but it took forever to get it even though I called in the order ahead of time

Not sure why it's 4 star. It's absolutely delicious! Prices are perfect compared to others. Staff is nice. Their protein qualities is quality. I'm glad I don't live near them.

We got takeout from here this afternoon. The hot and sour soup was very good, but very salty. The Hunan chicken was very tasty. The vegetable lo mein was also delicious. The lady who brought out was very nice. You can also dine in as they had several tables. We were their Saturday night and we were the only customers at that time. I hope that is not the norm. They also serve Thai food.
