Review #5/25 for 2025I will try to keep this short and sweet! This place is located next to the convention center and its free and open 24/7. Its a great place to come by on a hot afternoon and cool of with the water misting around. Sometimes you will see different vendors selling food like ice pops or sometimes you see food trucks lined up on the street for people to enjoy. The city of Fort Worth has free parking after 5pm in public parking meters and parking lots owned by the city are free.

This place is magical. I first saw this on the map and thought, "Oh, that'd be interesting to check out.". But when I approached the main water garden, I heard a huge waterfall and was simply amazed by what I saw. I must have stood there for a good minute before realizing I had stopped in the middle of the pathway and other people were trying to get around me. Oops! I didn't imagine the water garden so deep into the ground, though it makes sense, given the scale of the falls.I explored the main water garden by taking the precarious steps down to the center platforms at the bottom. Some steps were smaller than others, so I'd suggest taking your time going down if you're afraid of heights. Down at the bottom, you could barely hear any of the surrounding noises of the city, drowned out by the raging waters of the garden. It was quite peaceful, either by yourself or with friends.I also checked out the other water gardens, though only the tranquility pool was open. This garden seemed the least visited as I only saw one or two other people there. Also very quiet, the tranquility pool provides an appreciated respite from everyday stressors. I found myself very relaxed, having the pool primarily for myself. All in all, it is a beautiful place to visit if you're nearby. It's next to the Ft. Worth Convention Center if you're ever in town for a conference!

GAR! We parked, we trekked, we got all excited to see the famous Water Gardens...only to find out that 3 of the 4 falls were closed for maintenance! What a bummer. Now, maybe they do this every fall, but it's not like the water's gonna freeze in Texas in November--it was 70 degrees when we were there!Don't get me wrong, it's a lovely park, but when you're expecting cascading waterfalls and only get a sprinkle, it's like ordering a milkshake and getting skim milk. Moral of the story? Its not like you can call ahead either, its just a recording about booking the space. Just cross your fingers, or just bring your own water bottle and create a DIY waterfall experience!

Many of the fountains were off. No easy parking. Was confusing walking around and trying to get back to the street.

This place is at the southern end of the core downtown business district. I had visited it years ago when I lived in Fort Worth briefly, but I did not recall much about it. We were in the area and had 30 minutes before a nearby lunch appointment, so we stopped by. We arrived around 11:30 a.m. on a Sunday. There were a lot of people around and it seemed safe at that time; I'm not sure what it is like in the evening, though. We were able to find street parking about 2 blocks away. It was free at the time (I think the parking meter said that it was free on weekends and after 6 p.m., but you should double check that if you are using a metered space). There are at least 2 entrances to the park at opposite corners. There appeared to be 3 different water features surrounding a small plaza in the middle. There were also stone-capped landscaping / walls surrounding the place. The first and most popular feature is a sort of inverted ziggurat where the water flows down into the lowest point. There are block stairs (no railings) via which you can access the low point and look up at the terraces. We descended here and checked it out. It was interesting but can get crowded. The next feature is a sunken pool surrounded by walls. You can descend a staircase and be at pool level. I think it is supposed to be a more serene setting. The final feature is a slightly sunken pool with spray heads at intervals, creating a spray level about 3 feet above the pool, along with shifting rainbows if it is sunny out. If you are in the area and have at least 30 minutes, this is worth seeing just for the novelty. Kids seemed to like it too, mostly for the opportunities for climbing on rocks or steps.

I took a trip to Fort Worth this past April, and spent a couple hours walking around the Water Gardens. I have always been a big fan of the old sci-fi movie Logan's Run, and the climactic ending was shot here. The Water Gardens exceeded my expectations. I was able to walk down the steps into the heart of the water -- kinda scary! The roaring of the water is exhilarating and soothing all at once. The quiet pool, on the other side of things, was tranquil and meditative, making me feel like Alice down the rabbit hole, with optical illusions making things look strangely large and small. Anyone who loves water should take some time to roam here.

On a trip to Fort Worth, we stopped by Fort Worth Water Gardens on a Saturday afternoon. After finding some street parking, we walked over. On this particular day, the heat was sweltering but we made the most of it. Fort Worth Water Gardens is impressive for its water sculptures. The architectural designs and the way water is incorporated are a sight to see. There are several different works of art you can see so walk around and check them out while learning about each one. You can get through everything in a half hour or so. Fort Worth Water Gardens is on the list of the top attractions in Fort Worth on TripAdvisor. Check it out!

Fort Worth Water Gardens is a beautiful and refreshing oasis that is conviently adjacent to the convention center and is free of charge to the public. We came through on a weekday during the winter months of Texas to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and just to relax and enjoy the scenic views the water gardens have to offer. When coming here, you can easily find parking downtown at the meters where you can go online and pay by your phone. There are multiple parts of the garden where they have different areas to view in this city park. This is definitely a place to take pictures with friends and family that will last a lifetime. The main attraction is by the Omni hotel, where you can take steps down to a water fountain and enjoy the glistening sound of the water flowing through the rocks. This is where the majority of the pictures are taken, and people simply hang out. There are signs posted throughout the attraction warning visitors to not jump in and swim, which I can definitely see a lot of this happening during the hot Texas summers.Overall, this free attraction is worth checking out if you're in the area with friends and want a break from the city and just to simply relax and keep your mind at ease. Don't forget your camera!

Water stands out whenever you see any in Texas. Somebody in Fort Worth chose to build this novel piece of modern architecture with various water features below ground. Numerous signs state you can't wade or swim, which I guess is somewhat understandable given cleanliness concerns, but I imagine might be torture on a really hot day. There are some interesting sights. The angled structures remind me most of an artificial waterfall in Flint Michigan, oddly enough. This park is close to transit and downtown amenities. It felt a bit dated, aesthetically, but it was interesting. And the mist was refreshing.
