Our two dogs love this park!! They get excited anytime they hear my car keys and bolt to the car. This park is well maintained and people are mostly good about picking up after their pups. Prime time is golden hour, about 5pm, when the park fills up with all kinds of dogs, from Frenchies to Burmese Mountain dogs. There are lots of regulars if you're the type who likes to find you and your dog some casual friendships. We're big fans!

Me and my partner like taking our chihuahua to this park because it's a great environment for both the dog and us. Our dog absolutely loves this park because it has enough space for her to run around and not be stuck in one spot. I like how the park has two different sections which are for bigger dogs and for the smaller dogs. Both sides as soon as you come in there's two different gates you have to go through, this is a good thing to have just in case you're trying to close the door and not have your dog run away.

How fun! This park is SO expansive, and I just can't get over how normal this is in any neighborhood other than San Francisco where we live. My husky puppy was having the time of his life, running around and saying hello to the dogs in all corners of the park. Owners were friendly but kept to themselves.Very lush and green with tons of trees and play structures. My dog could have cared less about the agility sections, but I'm sure he'd take an interest if we came here regularly. The typical amenities were in stock, like water bowls and waste bags. I know a park is good when my dog doesn't act anxious and scared.Reading other reviews, it sounds like some awful things have happened at Fort Woof, but I'm curious if that's the case at all dog parks... it's not necessarily the PARK that's toxic... horrible owners are what's dangerous. Just DON'T bringing valuable treats and toys into the park, and keep an eye on your dog(s) at all times. Use your instincts!

Im a regular here, it's definitely our go to place. Beautiful grass, poops picked up, lawns are tended too. All around good place. They could use a little more security at night. Other then that. Definitely no complaints here.

This is such a great dog park. The big dog side is huge! It even has a doggie obstacle course that my dog was not remotely interested in but if you have a trained show dog perfect for practicing. I took my big dog over the weekend and even though it wasn't very busy he had a blast playing with the dogs that were there and just generally being free to roam about the grounds. I know he's looking forward to his next visit.

Fort Woof Dog Park is located inside Gateway Park, located at 750 Beach St., Fort Worth, TX 76111. Enter the park (http://www.yelp.com/biz/gateway-park-fort-worth) and follow the road all the way to the back. What a great dog park. Separate areas for large and small dogs. Ample water and plenty of obstacles provided. It's just so nice to see so many dogs running free and playing with other dogs. I have not seen any aggressive behavior, but it certainly can exist. These are dogs after all and dogs have different temperaments. This is not let your dogs run unattended, it's let your dogs run while you keep an eye on your dog. The park has rules and everyone should follow them...But do do your dog a favor and let him run in the dog park park. The park is fenced and far from busy roads (plus it's a double gate entry), so it's a much safer place than your average non-dog friendly park.

This park is large, especially for big dogs (see pic, that's my pooch). I appreciate that it has these tunnels and jumps, as well as a few shaded spots for the owners. The day we went recently there were very few dogs, separated (smartly) by small and large breeds. There's much room to roam, poop bags at the entrance, water and water bowls, and lots and lots of green grass and a few trees and benches. They also seem to have mosquitoes under control as we didn't have a problem out there. Sarge says: "Ruff, ruff, enjoyed my visit, thanks guys!"

4 Stars not 5- I'll tell you at the end since there's so many good things!!!This's probably one of the best dog parks I've taken my fur babies to. I have a German Shepherd, a Doberman and a Puggle. I take all of them to the big dog side and have never had any issues. People are always so friendly, it's a ginormous park with some agility equipment towards the back, 2 water stations, It's pretty clean so you don't have to constantly look where you're walking for land mines - nice! Plenty of seating so it accommodates a lot of people without feeling crowded. Covered picnic tables, benches under the trees and along the fence lines. They always leave there totally exhausted which is why I take them to begin with. Like everywhere else it does get and stays muddy after a good rain storm but they do have a wash off station right outside of the gate so bring a towel, it's nothing fancy for sure but it does the job. I did see a couple of scuffles but like all good parents they immediately separated them and then they saw the aggressor and his daddy took him home for a time out. Okay, the only reason for the 4 star- a random guy commented on my dogs and when I asked him which dog was his he said he didn't have one, he just liked to come and watch everyone else's. I was getting ready to leave soon anyway so it just kicked me into high gear. It just seemed off, maybe he really liked dogs and I read too much into it????
