Forney Community Park

If you are eager for clean outdoor space, this park is a nice find within the Forney city limits. There are lots of sitting spaces and a place for kids to play and enjoy an active lifestyle rather than sit at home playing video games all day long or browse endless hours on the internet. I recommend this park for those eager to explore the outdoors.

This is an awesome large park with a nice lake for you to walk around or a place to bring your kids. Not only that they have a community center where you can go swimming in the summer with the kids. This park is so large that they host farmers markets; Check put their Facebook page for details. First time I visited was a Saturday morning when a farmers market was there. I got to buy local honey which was bottled that morning from a local mom and son team! Numerous butchers and farmers where as well as a man selling tamales which were so so good! Definitely check out when the park hosts events or farmers markets here and go! You'll have lots of fun!

Texas is synonymous with spacious. This park fits that mold. While it is not overly impressive in infrastructure, it fills a need in the community by having plenty of room to take in grass, sports fields, and even a body of water.

We come to this park almost every day to walk or jog on the trail and then play a bit at the playground. There is a splash pad here which is open during summer months and is well maintained. We usually see someone out cleaning the splash pad area every day before it opens. Police also patrol the trails which is nice. We usually go in the mornings in summer months before it's too hot and there are always plenty of other moms with strollers and plenty of joggers as well. The trails are very well maintained and clean. There are benches every now and then so you can stop and sit down. Ample shade! I would recommend during summer months, if you're going to walk or jog the loop (a little over a mile) go towards the soccer fields first as the sun will mostly be toward your back and then once you loop around you'll be shaded almost the entire time. There are restrooms near the playground but we've found from time to time they are closed. ‍ the playground area is quite nice and has a little bit for nearly every age. There are two toddler swings at this playground, a nice rock climbing type wall, plenty of slides and a cool musical wall! The soccer fields are very well maintained , as are the basketball courts, sand volleyball pits, and tennis courts. The amphitheater is a very nice area to visit during concerts in the park, just make sure you get there early to find a good seat. This is also a great place to take family pictures during fall!

Our grandkids LOVED the Forney Splash Pad!The Forney Community Park has a family area and it's like three parks in one.  There's a great playground, a pavilion area with plenty of green space and then of course, the main attraction for us, the Splash Pad.   There are play areas for all age groups so the whole family can have fun.You can also rent the pavilion or picnic out on the grass.  It is really a perfect spot for playdates and summertime fun.  Don't forget to pack a picnic basket, a cooler full of cold drinks and some sunscreen!

This park is great! It has a lot of space if you wanted to set some kind of outdoor game up yourself out it has just about every field/court you'd want. The whole park is very well kept and clean. Even more impressive because of its size.

Forney really impressed me with their community park! Very clean. They have two play areas one for smaller kids and the other for bigger kids. During the summer they have the water area open which is very fun as well. They have a sand volleyball, basketball courts, and walking trail. Also covered picnic tables. Awesome job Forney! Really one of my favorite parks in the DFW!

Fun good feilds and also free spray park is mid tho and the grass is cut basketball courts are good

Right a normal school parking lot Jerry's house is like very exciting and maybe reservation for our birthday party coming up in the viewer Colorado experience
