This smokehouse has a great family feel. First time there and we were treated like VIP. I mean genuine. They make sure to get your order correct and that you are satisfied. Chef checked on us multiple times and the staff too. Support your local business but more importantly get their Catfish special on Friday. If catfish is not your thing, you really can't go wrong with the brisket.

I have been wanting to stop in, they have limited hours only being open Friday - Sunday but finally got to tonight and it was yummy. I ordered a brisket sandwich, there isn't a meal or plate, everything is a La carte so I added a drink and okra. We also ordered the ribs and loaded fries with sweet tea. Ribs were a teensy dryer than I'm used to but it was still seasoned great and that made up for it. Fries were good and fresh. The chopped brisket sandwich was very tasty. They are military friendly and the staff was outrageously nice. They had the game on and cute decor up on the wall. . We will def be back in!

This review can be summed up in two words...THE RIBS!I took the first bite and immediately tried to calculate how often I could order these (although I live miles away). The ribs were hearty and meaty. The side dishes of potato salad, cole slaw, and beans were fantastic. The dill in the potato salad and cole slaw gave them the best savory flavor. I waited a long time to go to The Colony for Flatrock Smokehouse BBQ. However, I will not wait long to revisit.

Fantastic place. Everyone working there is extremely friendly and I'd say every single one of them checked on us at one point or another to make sure we had everything we needed. We ordered brisket, turkey, and sausage, along with a side of the brisket mac & cheese. All of the meats were so tender and the brisket can be cut with a plastic fork. They were also very well seasoned and had a ton of flavor. Then don't even get me started on the brisket mac... I could eat a bathtub full of that... it's so good. Prices for everything are very reasonable.Skip the touristy expensive joints and check out this local gem. You won't regret it!

This is one of the best bbq spots I've ever been to. On Sundays they do smoked Turkey leg and it's legit the best one I've ever had. Falls apart, skin you can actually chew. I think their bbq sauce is homemade and it's delicious. Also I cannot stress this enough, on Sundays they also do collard greens and they too are the best I've ever had. So tender, no sticks or strings, perfect. I'd swim in those greens.

Family owned restaurant that is open only on the weekends. Has good brisket and sausage. Meals are decent and averaged price of 14 and up. Good for family and friends or eating solo. Good customer service and visited by the locals. Easy to spot from road. Enjoy.

The food is phenomenal. The brisket is so juicy, tender and has tremendous flavor without leaving us thirsty from too much salt! The meat was falling off the bones on the spare ribs. Typically with spare ribs, that doesn't happen as easily as with baby back ribs. But here's the thing....this is a family-owned business owned by a retired military vet. He gives discounts to military and first responders. I will always support a small "mom and pop" shop with ownership like this. He and his son were very kind when I met them. Genuinely kind. I've seen some lower ratings on here....Nothing will ever be perfect every time - even in Michelin star restaurants. How many times have we made something and it wasn't always our best? Exactly. So maybe once your brisket was dry. Certainly wasn't today!But helping a locally owned small business thrive is what will always keep me and my family coming back here.
