You wouldn't think a gas station pizza would be good but what a surprise. This pizza is pretty solid.Once I saw that they had real ovens I had a feeling it was going to be pretty good. The crust was nice and crispy and the bottom was nice and done. The pizza had a nice firm texture to it.I got the supreme with half pepperoni and it had plenty of toppings on it.I also got a Stromboli to go.I have really no complaints. Is it the best I've had?no but it definitely isn't the worst.I still like my old joes better but it is gone.It is definitely better then any chain pizza place's.I would recommend it and I will be back.I will probably just get a couple of slices of pizza instead of a whole pizza next time.Yes they serve slices. That's another positive about this place.Give this place a try.

Okay, yea it's a pizza joint inside a gas station with a craft beer bar. Hadn't been to Bru City in awhile but visited several times recently. Last time I had been in, probably over two years ago, the pizza here was inconsistent and not that great, as was the BBQ place inside. But It's hard to not grab a slice with your beer, and the pizza looked really good so I gave it a try. Well, don't know if it's new owners or what, but the pizza here is really good now. It also seems like a deal at $3.25 for a respectable slice. Almost every visit in, I grab a slice or two.Last visit, I checked the menu out to see what other items they make. I decided to get the Spaghetti Bolognese to go. It was $13. I picked up the bag and it felt like it weighed a couple pounds. I get home, and it was really good. You get several meatballs with a meat marinara sauce. It was a huge portion. I ate about half and finished the rest off for lunch a couple of days later, and it was just as good, if not better, then.Only thing I see as a downside is one night I went in about 8:30 and they were closing up. Not sure what other hours they keep, but the days I've been there, they have always been open. Anyway, they usually have several types of pizza slices ready to go, and they always throw the slices back in the oven to heat them up and crisp up the bottom. The pizza by the slice are always a thinner crust, New York type. (I guess)So, the pizza isn't the only good stuff they make. There are several other entree's on the menu, along with some Calzones. I'll probably make this a place to go to get that spaghetti again. You can't beat the price and it tasted better than stuff I've paid more for at more fancy places. There are several tables there if you want to drink some beers and dine in.

Ima say the devil is a lie to that 3 star rating! What I experienced was wonderful. Just what I needed. This place is inside a gas station, no doubt, but this isn't Scottie P's or HotStuff personal pizza. This isn't even Circle K or QT pizza. This is legit food.It helps that it is adjacent to the Bru City. You can enjoy some delicious craft beer and some food from Famous Joe's, or just enjoy a beer while you wait in your to go order.Granted, the staff isn't...engaging here. If you order large it may take a minute as well. However, it is well worth the wait, in my opinion.I ordered a large cheese pizza to go on Halloween. They were quite busy, and informed me that the wait would be about 25 mins for a whole large. I said okay. I think they had a lot of orders because the chef was rippin and running. I just enjoyed my beers a few feet (inside this gas station) and waited. True to their word, 25 mins ago, it was ready.I got it home. The crust was like a cloud. The cheese was thick and the sauce was some of the best I have tasted on a fast food style pizza place. Certainly the best from a gas station restaurant. That's all there is to it.I did notice that they serve single slices. Often, places like this cook up a cheese pizza and keep it warm. When folks come up and order single slices, they slap toppings under the existing pizza's cheese, warm it for 5-7 mins and you get that. It can be dried out and rubbery. That is why you should just order a whole pizza fresh and take some home. You won't regret it!

I'm always on the lookout for a slice joint and this does just fine. It's in a spiffy new gas station/growler fill/bbq/pizza establishment that I hope succeeds because it's not really near anything. That said, the employees are friendly and the prices reasonable. Crust: 8/10, toppings 6.5/10. Good, solid, but not life changing

One bite everyone knows the rules, on a Portnoy scale of 1-10 it's a 7.1 a solid gas station pizza. Good crust, ingredients are fresh and it's baked in a real oven. I was pleasantly surprised. Sauce is a blend of salty, slightly sweet, tangy and very light. Cheese is ok.... Listen it's not motz balls but very good. Solid pie no doubt.

Famous Joes is good. The perfect balance of crunchy crust, sweet & tangy sauce, and hot gooey cheese. My Sicilian ancestors would be proud.I never been to New York, but I eat pizza. This pizza is great. Sauce is flavorful and lots of cheese. Famous Joe's pies highlight delicious seasonal ingredients and genius flavor combinations. Place offers hearty Italian New York za with craft beer from Bru City.Famous Joes is grand. I suggest start with the famous cheese and then open to the specialty pizzas. Classic slice joint, the crust is just stretchy-chewy enough for folding, and the slightly sweet sauce is overlaid with a perfect web of "ninja turtle" nostalgia cheese. Cowabunga. I would eat again. I hope to eat again.
