Fun, easy to navigate. I needed plenty of drinks after doing this with my family and they were very helpful. Honestly, they were great and a blast. Great fun!

Although this was not the most challenging or innovative escape room I've been in, I will give Escapology props for the overall experience. One of the main reasons we chose Escapology was affordability and thus, the ability to book out an entire room. Sorry, strangers, but I just don't enjoy doing mind-bending puzzles with you. We paid for all the spots in our room and it was quite affordable. If you're interested in doing the same, I'd recommend a different approach: check out their bookings ahead of time online. If they seem pretty free, head on down there without a reservation. Check in a few minutes before each time slot and see if anyone is registered to play. If not, you can just book however many spots you need rather than booking out all the spots. That will save you some cash! The room we did was The Code. I would rate this room a 5/10 for difficulty. I felt some of the "clues" were lacking. Without giving too much away, I'll just say this. At other escape rooms I've been to, one clue gives you the answer to another. So if you need to collect 5 items and then place them in an order, some other clue/puzzle will tell you the order. This room it was less complex than that, so we were often thought we were missing clues that didn't exist. That just left a little to be desired for me. However, there was one clue that was particularly obscure, and I'd be really surprised if anyone ever gets the answer without a hint. Overall the room was pretty light on the challenge, but still fun - we made it out with about 14 minutes left. The area of Escapology is a welcome respite from the rest of Shenanigans. It felt cool and modern, a contrast to the kids arcade surrounding the place. We were even able to get beers (at a great price!) at Escapology. Had we planned better, we may have lounged for a while at Escapology and done a second room. Hint: they should really offer a discount for a same-day second or third room! One other customer service note: Although our GPS originally said we'd arrive 30 minutes early, we ended up being nearly an HOUR late for our escape room experience (!) There was a huge accident on the bridge, and there was no escaping the traffic (pun intended). We did try calling Escapology multiple times to notify them of our tardiness. Unfortunately there is no direct line for Escapology that we could find, and the Shenanigans main line was super unhelpful. That should be resolved; there should be some easy way for us to call and advise we were going to be late. They did eventually call us about 10 minutes after our appointment asking where we were, and we were able to explain the circumstances. Luckily, they were able to accommodate us despite the mess and our lateness. The employees were very forgiving and totally fine -- probably because they didn't have a ton of reservations. But whatever the reason, it was a relief that they weren't angry with us. Escape rooms are for entertainment, after all! We will definitely return to Escapology! I would 100% recommend this escape room for a larger group (corporate outings). Given there are so many other activities at Shenanigans, it'd be a fun filled event for any group.

Had fun solving the riddles. Once you think you've finished and are exiting, you have to solve in another room...then another one! Great fun.

I have done all but one of the rooms here and my wife has done all but one as well (different ones and it totally sucks because now we aren't finishing them). They have 6 rooms so you have a lot of choices. It is located in a fun center called Shennaniganz so you can also do bowling, arcade, axe throwing, laser tag, pointless ball and more. They also have good food and a full bar with drinks available at the escape part also, so you can do dInner, drinks, and rooms all in one place. Having a lot of rooms means you can choose one with difficulty to fit your group, and they are a chain with good production value. I'll give it 7/10 production value. The puzzles are well though out and logical so you aren't left frustrated with nonsensical leaps. This is a great introduction to escape rooms and was the first place I did an escape room, so I guess I owe them many tanks for igniting the passion for my hobby. Overall, it's a good place to do rooms, but I wouldn't consider it a high priority destination for experienced er enthusiasts. Definitely great to have locally though and waiting for them to change up some rooms. Rumor is they are going to make a scooby doo themed room next.

Clean. Great decor. But because this is at a Shenanigans and is not a local-business escape room, the room loses its charm due to the employees treating cool experiences like this as clockwork. "Yeah, it's pretty simple." "Oh...uh...what part did you just finish?" "Did you guys finish? Oh okay, cool. You can exit now." I recommended local escape room businesses for sure. But since this one has a clean atmosphere and certain ones have multiple rooms, it good for groups around 5-6.

This is a very frustrating review. My wife and I have completed and passed all games from Escapeology from Austin, Dallas and Rockwall. The common theme is that the game masters are not actually watching you while you play. Multiple times we would ask for help and the game master wouldn't know where we were and give us an outdated hint. Our very last game with this company was Shanghai in Rockwall and it was our worst. At no point did the game master know where we were. At the end, we entered the exit code and nothing happened for 4 minutes. We kept ringing the bell and received hints for puzzles we had already solved. When the game master finally decided to talk to us she said we were done and to head out... She never told us we were supposed to exit when we "thought" we were done. She didn't even know we had entered the exit code 5 times. Her only excuse is she had no idea we were done because we didn't just leave the room. How are we supposed to know to leave if nothing or no one tells us we've completed the objective!?! Do not recommend this place to anyone.

Probably my least favorite escape room. Even though my whole group had email copies of our signed waivers, we were told they weren't in the system so we had to waste time redoing those. The puzzles themselves in the Budapest Express room were not that great. And for our second clue they told us who the murderer was. The game master did give us all $10 arcade cards, which was really nice. All in all it was fine, but not somewhere I'd go back to.

Since my fiancé does not have social media, I wanted to post this on the behalf of both of us: This past Saturday, my now fiancé, Lukas, had made prior plans with Escapology Rockwall to pull the proposal off. They went absolutely above and beyond by making special accommodations and really helping make our night that much more special. We both greatly appreciate the kindness and professionalism from all of the employees at this escape room! Thank you all so much! The Future Pattersons

Honestly I've done quite a few escape room and me and my friends decided to do the Murder Manor one here, we were told we have hints and can talk to the game master when pressing on a call button on a speaker. Well we asked for a clue about 30 minutes in and never heard anything back, and we repeatedly kept pressing the button for the hint, but when we weren't getting anything we started asking to speak to the game master bc we thought something was broken but no one would answer us. When our time finally ended and we couldn't solve the room the game master came in and basically mansplained the room to us and would not answer us when we asked why no one was answering our call for a hint or to talk. I do not recommend this place, awful first experience for one of my friends who has never done an escape room before!
