Ellis County Museum

Great educational opportunity for citizens & visitors. Displays of county history; war, farming, home front, and many more events from history.

Neat place with lots of local history. I didn't know about the interurban trains till I came here. Neat Texas history.

Hubby and I visited Eliis County Museum as a part of our Gingerbread Trail tour, and we were pleasantly surprised. The history and artifacts of Ellis County on the first floor was informative and interesting. We visited the newly renovated event space on the third floor, and it was beautiful. The volunteers were helpful and knowledgeable.This museum is on the square and worth a visit.

If you are in Waxahachie, stop by this museum. It's worth the look and can offer info on walking and driving tours past many more locations. Very interesting items inside and the volunteers are very helpful.
