I got a Torta de pastor, which was so good! Very flavorful and cheesy. I had them add avocado too. My boyfriend got quesadillas and they were great too. It is cash only though and it's usually a long line at night.

Been at this location for years and they still have some of the hottest hot sauce so take it easy on the green bottle. The barbacoa tacos are good but the Asada and fajita tacos were not impressive at all. They had a fishy bitter taste to the point that I ended up tossing the plate.

A couple friends and I were hankering for some tacos at midnight and there are a few within the vicinity of our school, so we just chose El Tacolote since none of us had tried this one yet.The meat in our tacos was lukewarm--meaning that it probably had been sitting for a while. Yes, the food is really cheap (each taco was around a dollar) and--lukewarm temperature aside--the taste was fine. But still--could our food at least have been served warm?Take this however you want, but I feel like we were given so-so product because they thought we wouldn't notice the difference. The thing is that we ordered after one or two other customers, yet we got our food almost immediately after ordering, while the customers in front of us were still waiting for their food. And it's not like we ordered a small quantity (around 7 or 8 tacos and a torta). How do you whip up 9 items in less than two minutes, especially give that there were two orders prior to us?

I used to come here and usually get the delicious quesadilla with asada meat and add avocado. I'm currently on a more sensitive diet because I'm getting my weight back on track and I approached the food cart a little nervously tonight when my sister picked coming here for dinner tonight. I checked the menu and couldn't find a bowl option so I asked if something like the bowl would be possible to make for me and the gentleman explained that they absolutely could!! I was so happy to be able to eat a healthier option here!! I ordered Fajita chicken, a little bit of beans, lots of veggies and a bit of avocado and lime. Basically a very Mexican salad. He offered tortillas or tostadas on the side. I opted for the tostadas but most likely might not eat the whole portion. The prices are extremely fair for the quality of food you get. The additional items photographed below are my familias choices for the night. Oh my! All this goodness!! Come check out this food cart. There's plenty of parking available as it's located on the very corner of a grocery store named Cost Plus. Gracias!!

This place is great. It has been my favorite spot since I was 5 and they still make the best tacos!I ADORE the spicy green salsa and always buy extra. The horchata is sweet here. Makes me sad that they don't sell langua anymore, but everything else is delicious!

El Tacolote is this little taco trailer (van, stand, etc.) that you see parked in random lots all over the city. It usually parks and opens it's doors in the evenings in front of the Seminary Food Store.Waiting in line to order and receive your food is annoying (specially in the summer) but the wait is worth it for two reasons:1. the food is SUPER cheap2. the food is not half badMake no mistake, this is no gourmet establishment (heck, it's not even an establishment) it's a taco stand. But you do get decent tacos de asada, quesadillas (with or without various meats), and my friend's personal favorite: ceviche. If you don't know what that is, then don't get it. :)I usually hit up El Tacolote late at night when I'm either drunk, or really need a quesadilla quickly and cheaply.

Authentic Mexican Street taquitos! This is a no fuss, no muss establishment, but just perfect. My husband couldn't stop raving about this place. He says they have been in place for almost two decades and the food is still as delicious. Had the asada and chicken fajita and both were delicious. The green salsa is oh so hot, but oh so good! Just finished my food and already planning my next visit.

Tacos are somewhat dry, I love the ceviche which is the only reason I'm giving it a 2 stars the wait is horrible it's like a 30-45 min wait (be prepared to stand) so don't come if you're in a hurry! And the salsa, is wayyyy too spicy and only one kind of salsa is offered! They don't have a green and red salsa like most traditional Mexican places just one.

The best real, authentic taco truck in the area. I am loyal to this place till death. The owners/workers are always so kind, and I love that I speak to them in English, they reply in Spanish and we can understand eachother without either of us having to be uncomfortable (I speak for myself mostly, I know some Spanish but try not to speak it because I know I'll sound dumb). The food is always freshly made, or at least seems to be to me, I've recommended them to several people over the years and will continue to do so.
