Disappointing...so disappointing! My husband was craving Menudo and said he's had canned menudo that tasted better...broth tasted like tomato juice and the corn tortillas were from a package. He took 1 bite and wouldn't eat anymore.My "jamon" was a few pieces of lunch meat grilled on a flat top and the hashbrown was a frozen patty that looked and tasted like it was deep fried. I ate my eggs and toast and we left. At least they refunded my breakfast.

We're new to the area and were looking for something to eat for dinner this evening. We happened upon El Rey in Alvarado. I ordered the chicken fajitas, and my husband ordered the 3 street taco dinner. The cashier was also our server and he was as nice as can be. The food was delicious, hot, and fresh. We'll definitely be back!

Stopped in with high hopes but left disappointed. Meat was pretty plane,and when I say that I'm being nice. I ordered Birria tacos and I literally thought they got the order wrong because the meat looked like pork. No juices, nada. And I got 1 limes with an order of 5 tacos...

The food is very good, plus they give you generous portions. Worth the stop.

I'm from the Dallas area, first time trying this spot, and must I say they have the most delicious queso birria tacos I've ever tried! I've traveled to various cities and states and these are top of my list!!

Birria Quesa tacos are out of this world. This is a whole in the wall restaurant that doesn't fall short in quantity or quality.

Don't judge the book by it's cover. The food and service here is exceptional. You order at the counter and then sit. I had the Birria quesa tacos plate. It comes with 5 tacos , a rice soup and green sauce. Very tasty! The atmosphere was clean and organized. Also had the spicy boiled shrimp. It's come with potatoes and corn. Sooo goood! Yummy! I'll be back for sure!

Went for the first time and ordered the beef enchilada plate. The price was not bad and I got 3 enchiladas, rice and beans. But no salsa, no chips. The food was bland, no flavor.
