Food was very good. Charro beans were very spicy. We had great service, very attentive. The restaurant was clean. The mesquite shrimp was cooked perfectly.

El Cerrito is a great, economical, Mexican food joint. We started with the chips and salsa. The chips were light and thin, and the salsa had a nice flavor without too much heat. The waitress was quick and attentive, and it appeared all the servers had been trained pretty well.They had spinach enchiladas and avocado enchiladas. That's always worth noting. My wife had the spinach enchiladas and was pleasantly surprised. I had the combo, which wasn't on the menu. The 3 enchilada dinner offered chicken with sour cream sauce, cheese, or beef. I wanted all 3, and they accommodated me easily. I also asked for an add-on taco, even though it wasn't on the menu, and they took care of that too!Man, you GOTTA have add-on tacos for $2! Double your profit margins!The enchiladas were filling, but I noticed they were on the small side. At a $9 plate instead of a $15 plage, I didn't have a problem... and I didn't go away hungry.Not the TOP place in the area, but it's probably a solid #2! Food is good. Never the same employees which could mean management issues.Younger employees seem lazy. They take your order but never refill drinks or take your plates when finished.I feel sorry for the bus boys and understand why they leave the plates behind. Let the wait staff try to carry one of the bus tubs with all those heavy plates inside.Additional staff training would make this place 4 maybe 5 star.

I really enjoy this place. A lot of times when you get into rural areas and try lower priced Mexican food it is bland and not good, but not here! Everything here is really enjoyable from the chips and queso, to the tacos, fajitas, I'll eat it all. The service is great. Their sweet tea is legit. Definitely if you're in the Springtown area check it out.

It was just ok. The salsa was not good very bland. The service was mediocre. The food was also mediocre. The margarita was good. Everyone was nice. But we will not be going back.

We got there and we were seated quickly. The margaritas were not bad! But my kids' drinks were awesome! Food came WAY FASTER than expected. Our waiter was the BEST! The food was decent.

I went to El Cerrito for the first time. And as someone who loves Mexican food, I have a lot to compare it to. I was blown away at the taste of the salsa that came with the chips, so I knew my food was gonna be delicious. I ordered the beef Guiso *a hidden menu item* and it was delicious. When I walked in, they hosts was very pleasant, she offered me a table, but I decided to sit at the bar, which is full service. At the bar they had two TV with a sports on. The bar is separate from the rest of the restaurant incase kids don't need to see people drinking. Which I appreciated. All this to say I really enjoyed my experience at El Cerrito, the ambiance was very culturally appropriate and felt like I was in Mexico. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant to anyone in Springtown, TX or people driving through.

Menu prices are "all" 30% higher than all the pictures for tbe menus. Food is good, prices are not terribly expensive, but more than they were a few years ago.

Great food, great staff friendly and efficient but needs a new location or possibly a remodel.
