Dollar Tree

Personally I do not think the rating reflected accurately identifies with this particular location. Yes there are a couple of negatives of concern but it has a few (new) positives as well. I've seen the chaotic inventory mess described in other reviews, & it's no joke, it can be bad. But more than likely its not within this store's budget to allow its employees to come in early or stay late & properly restock. Also, when customers instantly start shuffling through those boxes & then leaving a mess, it only contributes to the disorganization. Regarding staff, I'd say 3/5 of the employees are friendly; 1/5 seem kind of grumpy & don't want to be there while the other 1/5 are rude; rather normal statistics. Otherwise there are only 3 faults that concern me. No matter how many people are working or lanes open, checking out is usually time consuming; however, if you buy anything breakable, they wrap your items properly which I can truly appreciate & I'm sure a contributing factor. Secondly, you must be diligent about checking expiration dates of any food purchased. It's usually only by 1-3 months, but still have to be cautious. Lastly, they seem to no longer have enough push baskets. I don't recall this being an issue a few months ago but now you often have to hangout near the front until one becomes available. Despite those details, for me, they have more than reprised themselves with the recent inventory expansion of their DIY & crafting materials for both general projects & holidays. Much of their selection's quality is good enough to use for creating gifts, resale items or decor for your own home without looking cheap. Also, their children's academic books are prefect for homeschoolers, kids needing help with a particular subject or that may want to simply get ahead. Adults with disabilities who are on the lower end of the spectrum can also easily utilize them. Since the books are offered by grade level and subject specific, it's easy to customize to the needs of any individual. Everything else within the store is pretty much on par with other locations. Freezer section is smaller than most so your options are limited. As of November 2019, & the subsequent 6 months or so, I've found it to be a decent store overall. It has its quarks but several other aspects out way the negatives, at least for me & even more so, my wallet. It's a shame it's rating is primarily based on such old reviews. Hopefully more people begin to have better experiences here & that will change.

Dollar tree is a great cheap place to get stuff you need, but the stuff you buy is very fragile. However I just purchased some oatmeal pie and they were 5 mouths expired

This Dollar Tree has got to be among the worst in the area. It is never clean and the lines are always back up down the aisle. I wish they would either hire more people to help keep the store running smoothly or look into replacing the employees they have with people who would take pride in having a clean and efficiently ran facility.

This is the closes dollar tree to me I usually just go in and get my stuff and leave . This morning however , I was very upset on how the regional manager first talked to her staff in front of the customers not only was she rude she was unprofessional. If this is what you hire to represent you dollar tree then I suggest you go back to the drawing board.

The one star is because it's around the corner from me. Has to be the worst Dollar tree I've been in here in Texas. Dirty. Not enough employees. Employees talk about management and the dirty store in front of customers. I'll drive further to the Hulen location just because you can walk down an aisle and not have to worry about suing the store cuz you fell over a pile of boxes, garbage or toys.

While out getting extra decors for Xmas I was happy to find that the Dollar Tree had a variety of cloth placemats and large Santa stockings.

I was here yesterday, 07.03.2015 and this is the worst Dollar Tree I have ever been in by far! Walking in, there was a line of customers all the way back into mid isle with only one register open. There were several other employees there, I'll say about 5 or 6. All gathered together at the register closest to the managers office smiling and laughing with each other. The only guy checking people out was extremely kind and very nice. No acknowledgement from any of the others not even the manager. The store itself was extremely unkept, very dirty with merchandise and trash strewn all over the floor around the entire store. And no, they were not in the middle of stalking the shelves. I was appalled by the operation of this particular store. I have never been in one this bad. Someone needs new management! I was in so much shock I completely forgot to check in on yelp but I have included a copy of my receipt.
