Doc’s Drive-In

I had the opportunity to try Doc's this week and I was blown away! They've completely updated a community treasure! From fresh paint, new floors, and handicap accessible bathrooms to updates on the menu!First of all, their limeades are made with REAL lime juice and special recipe syrup - this makes ALL the difference in the world!! Their fries are hand cut and fresh, never frozen. The corn dogs are hand-dipped and fried to a golden crisp. And burgers are made-to-order!! Don't forget to top it all off with their amazing Texas Chili (no beans, as it should be!)The Clark-Sides-Casey family have poured their hearts into this community gem and it shows. Can't wait to see them grow!Stop in and support a wonderful small, local business!!

When I am in town, we always try to eat at Doc's. Excellent food and service! Their burgers are outstanding! And their fries are the best

It wasn't bad but not what I expected. When I read a review of made to order burger I expected a hand made patty not a preformed frozen. I know it was not cooked to order because we got the warm meal way to fast for that. While it was good it did NOT leave me wanting more. The fries are fresh cut, mine were not cold but certainly not hot either. I am willing to give another try and get something besides the burger. Hoping my next trip will result in more stars.

The food is good there but expensive and they're only a part-time restaurant as most others in De Leon. You'll usually find them closed early in the evening and weekends. Their corn dogs are very good because they are obviously using the same recipe as Rollie, the former owner. It has taken 25 minutes for them to cook my corn dog and fries consistently. They hire young inexperienced teen girls to run things. They let the phone ring dozens of times before they answer it even when there are no cars in the parking lot. They depend on a glitchy app to take orders and become lost when you try to call in an order the old school way. One time when I had tried repeatedly for 30 minutes to call in an order, there was no answer. No cars in the parking lot, so one could easily assume there's not a lot going on and there may be 5 or more employees working. I finally drove up to the drive-in window to inquire how I could place an order and I told them about the trouble I was having reaching them by phone. We sat there and I dialed their number in front of them and it didn't ring. I casually said "I'm not going to do that again" meaning I wasn't going to try calling in an order again. The teen girl at the window GOT OFFENDED and walked off and had another person wait on me. I wasn't rude at all whatsoever. I was just saying I'm not going to spend 30 minutes on a phone again. Anyway, even when their phone is working, they take forever to answer and make you a very low priority. To be fair, it was the same at Rollie's previously.Regarding the app, they use to take orders, not everything on their menu is in the app especially the corn dog/fries combo, which is about the only thing I care for.

Fresh cut fries get me every time! Very good burger and the hot dog was great. Service is not overly fast but that's what happens when the food is cook to order! Clean and friendly. Overall good experience that will be repeated.

Great fountain drinks (try the cherry limeade). Cheeseburger was fantastic. My son had a corn dog-loved it.

Worst fries I have ever tasted. They were old tasting and the steak fingers and fries tasted exactly alike as though they were cooked in same old grease. They did bring a fresh order but they taxted the same. I will say the gal that waited on us was very sweet and the place is clean

Just got done with my double meat hamburger and fries. Really good and made exactly as I had asked.

As good as old-fashioned hamburgers get. The building looks much better now. This is a piece of DeLeon history that has been restored to its former glory.

A throwback to small town America at it's best. If you're hungry in or around De Leon you won't regret stopping here!
