Nice shop. Small store, but they have a very well-rounded collection. The two ladies in the shop were really helpful and the prices were fair.

Let's talk about records.New records: their pricing is solid, and the selection is fantastic, often having options bigger stores don't have.Used: here's the key thing... this won't be the largest used selection in Dallas, but - and this is important - these will be some of the most solid used records you buy. Everyone feels like it has been inspected and cleaned to be pristine as soon as you get it home. Really, every used purchase has been fantastic!Their rewards system is great, and the staff is fantastic. Easily one of the best shops in DFW

I live for good ole record store! This place was well organized and had a very nostalgic atmosphere. I was able to snatch 3 albums for under $40, that's an amazing deal! The staff were friendly (major plus). Stores like this needs the support of the community definitely drop in, you won't be disappointed... they play music while you shop! I will be back.

This record store is amazing. It has the coldest a/c in Dallas. It is super clean and it always has the latest titles in stock. I skip the other larger record stores in Dallas; they are always dirty and seem to sell everything but music. This record store is the real deal. The staff/owner couldn't be more nice if they tried. Thanks for understanding music and understanding how to run a business. I visit here weekly.

Great store friendly staff. Tons of obscure vinyl and main new releases liek Taylor Swift too! Smells nice and coffee shop next door Lemma is excellent. Dead Wax is excellent if you are looking for hard to find metal or punk, or just getting started with Fleetwood Mac and smashing pumpkins

Great record shop with an eclectic collection of new stuff and rare records. Super clean store with friendly staff. They definitely have some hard-to-find gems and usually have music spinning on the weekends. Highly recommend.

Dead Wax was the last of the major DFW record stores that I visited this year. It was also the only one I hadn't been to. It really isn't close to me at all, but when visiting Josey Records recently, my bf and I decided to make a second trip out there to check it out. I remember thinking as soon as I walked in, "This place is TINY!" There is not a whole lot of room to move, but this belies their fairly nice selection. Unlike Josey, this is not a place a crate-digger would enjoy. Dead Wax seems to specialize more in new pressings, as opposed to used records. However, for the vinyl fan looking for the best sound possible, it is a little piece of paradise. As a huge fan of the jazz label Blue Note, I was happy to see that they have a rather strong selection of their recent 75th Anniversary re-issues. They have a 10% cash discount, so keep that in mind! I recently went in during a sale, where all new and used LPs were 20% off, and if you brought cash, they'd add the 10% discount on top of that. Um, YES.

I would personally not go to this record store. The employees were very judgmental and made me feel uncomfortable for my music selection. That is the first time I've ever experienced that at a record store so I definitely wouldn't recommend this place. Gave off we are better than you.
