17 years later after being the first review of Dal Dong Nae, I'm still coming back for their late night Korean food goodness. After a long day at work I can count on this place to stay open late and provide me sustenance. We ordered the pan fried dumplings to start, then spicy pork belly and a beef rib soup. The dumplings were crispy and had a thin skin which is barely holding in all of the still moist filling. The spicy pork belly is spicy, but not too spicy to make me sweat. Eating with a bowl of the multigrain purple rice helps to bring down the heat. The soup had large chunks of rib meat with bones and love the flavor of the softened radish in this soup! Of course I'm not eating this all by myself, but have the help of my wife. Well, I think our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and ordered too much food. We're having to take a lot of food home. You won't leave hungry! I think before we ordered we forgot about the full spread of ban chan that they provide to go with your meal. Over the years I believe the ownership of Dal Dong Nae has changed hands, but their newer owner Jeanie is an experienced Korean restaurateur in the Dallas area that keeps up, if not improving the menu and flavor that this restaurant has provided over the years. It has a home-cooked feel like an auntie provides.

What's great authentic Korean restaurant. The staff are amazing. We had a Galbi and a soon tofu soup. The soup was very delicious. The the consistency was very delicious. The small dishes was very sufficient and generous. Place is cute authentic and pretty packed at 11pm. The kalbi was a little salty for our taste but overall very good.

How have I not been here sooner! Decided to try somewhere new tonight and this place did not disappoint! The staff were super sweet, welcoming and attentive. The food was amazing! We got the short rib soup and it was flavorful & comforting. We also got the grilled pork belly and loved the option of making it into lettuce wrap and dipping it with the two sauces. Our meal came with soo many side dishes also! Everything was delicious! Definitely adding this restaurant to our rotation, we can't wait to come back!

This no-frills Korean restaurant serves up comforting, home-cooked flavors that tastes great. The Korean aunties are always so welcoming and nice. Standouts include the Galbi-tang, with its rich, savory broth and tender short ribs, and the Bossam, with perfectly cooked pork belly, crisp vegetables, and bold dipping sauces. If you're craving authentic, heartwarming Korean food, this spot is a must-visit

Was in town for a work trip and omg the portions are huge! I ordered the grilled galbi and not only was it super tasty but it was stacked with so many galbi pieces, it is definitely enough to share with a friend but of course I finished it by myself.

We consider this the most authentic Korean in the DFW area. It's very mom-and-pop, so it doesn't come with all the frills, but that's another reason we probably like it. We go for the Gal bi (Korean ribs), the pan fried mackerel, the kimchi pancake, and all the fixings. This is a place we can bring our pre-teen kids to, and they eat most of the dishes. They also have the best Korean sauces.

Just flew into Texas and was craving something home-ly that was open late night. This place definitely did the trick! A wide variety of items to choose from, but it seems like they really specialize in soups and stews. Their banchan/side dish options were really good, all flavorful and seasoned well. Tofu Stew: pretty solid! I'm used to having spice level options and ingredient options (e.g. mushroom, dumpling, seafood, beef), but they just give you seafood tofu soup with one level of spice (maybe I was supposed to say it myself? Idk). For having no options, this tofu stew was really good. Came with an egg, and the tofu was in big chunks the way I like it. Gal bi tang: tasted more like gom tang with a milkier soup base, but it still hit the spot. The meat was so tender and easily fell off the bone. Spicy rice cakes: no. I'm shocked at how this dish has such a good looking base but tastes like absolutely nothing. Friends and I were saying it needs salt or some pepper or just SOMETHING because it tastes like nothing. It's not even watery; the sauce is thick and runs just enough like it should, but it had zero flavor. This place definitely isn't a cute first date spot, but gives more of like a catching up with old friends and making good memories vibe. Pricing was also fair, and after 4 entrees and one tteokbokki to share, we were all full and only paid just a little over $100.Definitely love it more than a lot of places back at home in the Bay Area and would be happy to come back if I'm ever in the area again!

Great jap chase, side dishes and Barley tea. Excellent prices as well. Should have gotten the fried vs. steamed mandoo however. Service is also prompt. Cozy interior and also open late at night as well. Definitely recommended!

It's been a long time since I've gone here and the review has been sitting in my drafts, but the service was good. I recall being served by an older lady who was super sweet and a younger man who wasn't very knowledgeable on gluten free options. Ambiance was like any other restaurant. It was easy to hear your table, not a very loud atmosphere. Great water.
