d20 Tavern

Overall- yes. I enjoyed my first visit to d20 tavern.My wish is for there to be more seating. Because of how cool of a place it is, it gets JAM PACKED. I wanted to leave and come back another time but my friend insisted we stay and wait. We saw people sharing tables but I really didn't want to impose. Luckily, we made it to the bar where you can sit but it was high traffic area and tight. Thankfully after about an hour a things got less busy and tables started opening up so we secured one. The place doesn't serve food-food - they offer bags of chips for snacking but if you want food- I'd recommend eating elsewhere first then returning but don't come back too late or it may be crowded like tonight. I personally would've loved if they served food there but I think them not serving food probably contributed to why the games were so clean.I appreciated the staff who helped us choose two games especially the gentleman who first helped us pick out a game. Since it was so busy, things felt rushed and a bit chaotic at times but all in all I'd definitely come back- it's only 5$ to play all you can play board games. So bring one and bring all to D20!

Great place to hang out with friends or for a fun date night. $5 fee to play any tabletop game for as long as you like; they have a happy hour special where this fee is halved. I believe it's M-TH from 2-7, but don't quote me on that. Only beer and canned alcoholic drinks are served, but they have a great selection on draft (the Juicy Peach is my favorite). The seltzers are also good; I tried everyone but the lemon blueberry and would drink them all again.No food allowed, but you're welcome to order from a local restaurant or bring your own food in.I've been going to the Thursday night D&D sessions and have been having so much fun. I'm very new to the game, but I have no anxiety while playing as the DM's are very nice, patient, and welcoming to new players.Great place to hang out!

This was a super cool place with an entire wall of games to play. Small fee for the night with access to any game. Bring your own food.

I love this place. It's a great place to have fun and quality time with friends or, in my case, my wife! A gentleman working there was very attentive and took the time to recommend and even brought us several games which we played and enjoyed a lotThe beers, ciders, and meads are plentiful as well. Bathrooms were clean and gender neutral. Parking is plentiful and tipical of a busy area such as the square. I highly recommend visiting this place!

What an amazing place! We came with our teenage son and his friends and they loved it. What an excellent place to unwind and enjoy each other's company with a fun game and a drink or two. This place is so cool and artsy! It has two separate seating areas. Front area is your traditional tables and chairs and in back area it has a more relaxed feel with comfy couches. One wall filled with endless board games and one filled with an astounding amount of craft beers. They also serve wine and sodas. Owner and staff are super professional and friendly. This place will definitely be on repeat for me. Unwind with D20 Tavern!

Fun place with a great concept. I've never actually played any of the games, but they have a bunch! I usually come here to get a drink and read and it's perfect for that,, too, instead of a coffee shop. The seating is comfortable and there is a lot of space. The bartenders are lovely and very helpful if you aren't familiar with the drink menu.

We love it here!!! The rotating meads are always my personal favorites, but the selections are amazing.

This place has some great craft brews with an amazing and wonderful staff who are passionate and knowledgeable! Will and Gaby really made my day, I always love coming here for a drink and to play some good board games with friends highly recommend this spot to all the nerdy Dentonites!

I was visiting from out of town and stopped in on a whim, mostly to get out of the rain. Enjoyed a pair of excellent local craft beers and some excellent conversation with Ms Caroline, who had an great attitude despite being called into work on her day off. The atmosphere was excellent, and if I were local, I would 100% be a regular and convince my friends to join me as well. My only regret is that I accidentally left the sticker I purchased behind, but that gives me an excuse to come back!

I've been coming roughly once a week since opening and the staff is always helpful! The owner is also there very frequently and very accommodating.
