CW’s Authentic Tex-Mex Cuisine

Stopped into this cute little place today during a road trip. Susie was our waitress and gave us recommendations from the menu. I opted for Chicken Fried Chicken and my husband ordered Carmen's Plate: 2 enchiladas, 2 crispy tacos with rice & beans. While we waited for our food, we enjoyed some fresh, yummy chips & salsa. I mean REALLY good salsa! My husband practically drank the stuff. Our food was delivered quickly and was piping hot. My husband enjoyed his, and mine was also delicious. The breading on the CFC was unlike I've ever had: really airy and crunchy. Yummy! And they didn't skimp on the cream gravy. The cost was reasonable, too. We will definitely be back when in the area again. I bet their breakfast/brunch is to die for!

I have passed by this spot so many times and wanted to give it a try because the lot is always busy which we know is a good sign. Finally made it today and realized the menu is a combo of Mexican and American options leaving me torn on if to get the chicken fried steak or go with Mexican. Decided on flautas based on the waitress recommendations and they were solid. He got one street taco and some beef enchiladas. Mine came with a little cup of Queso that made it for me. We got sopaipillas to go to round out a nice meal.

Food was amazing and service was awesome! We went for dinner one night and breakfast with the kiddos on Sunday! Everyone loved it!!!

We really enjoyed our lunch today! Monica, our waitress, was so nice. We ordered the chicken sandwich off the As Seen on TV menu, the sauce on there was so delicious and the daily special - two enchiladas with rice and beans. I got the queso over beef enchiladas. Everything was perfect and delicious. My husband loved the fries with his chicken sandwich, they were nice and crispy. We also ordered some breakfast burritos for tomorrow, they are a good size for $6 burritos!We will definitely be back.

We have lived in Joshua over 30 years and shamefully are just now trying this restaurant! We've missed out!!!Delicious meal today I tried vegetarian quesadillas with black beans and corn very good.My husband had the Carmen's enchilada taco plate...he's picky and he enjoyed it immensely was talking about his next visit before he finished!It was nice to have Wayne (owner) come around to see if we were enjoying the meal! I didn't catch the waitress name but she did a great job, kept our beverages full and brought more chips & hot sauce. Portions are large you won't leave hungry!

Food was good. I'd go back and try something different. Service was good, it was slow so I wouldn't have expected otherwise.

Good food, friendly staff .. Chicken fried steak (almost as big as the plate), green beans, & mashed potatoes is a MUST to try ! Honestly that is all I ever order, it's so good. I'll always be a repeat customer and may try another dish next time. You won't be disappointed.Pamela Ratliff

I'm a vegetarian. Cook makes my special every time. Delicious every time. A quiet neighborhood tex-mex restaurant whose parking lot stays full. Service is excellent. Walls are Loaded with Texas Trivia, pictures, great smiles

Visited here yesterday while picking up estate sale items. Wow! Food was outstanding and so was the service! We ordered the super fajitas that include beef, chicken, shrimp, and sausage. Lots of grilled onions and peppers. Everything was cooked perfectly. Meat was tender and very flavorful. Served with homemade flour tortillas. Delicious! Our host/ waitress/ server Cheryl was wonderful! Very attentive. So nice! Suggested a dessert so we took banana pudding to go. It was awesome! Now we are trying to find a good excuse to go back to Joshua so we can try something else on the menu! Go there and try this place soon!!

We are from Breckenridge Tx. Driving to see family in burleson. Glad we stopped. Food was excellent. Great service also.
